2015 sierra slt, preferred package, trailer brake controllers, retractable side step.

msrp 47,080

Paid 33,070 plus tt&l

Really like the truck. first GM vehicle in 15 years. Somewhat frustrated by all the "special offers", "consumer cash", etc with GM. certainly happy with the final price but wish their pricing was a little less confusing. hard to really understand how they can sell a car for 1000's under "invoice" since I am sure they didn't lose money at the end of the day.

smoke & mirrors - they are true illusionist - creating the feeling that they are making no money on a new sale - yet their yearly sales records show the Full Size annual sales are their most profitable segment

I hear you. I have no doubt they made money on the deal. but it is crazy when you go to all these "consumer websites" and they list the "invoice" and the average price paid, and obviously those numbers are not terribly accurate. I used to really like the true market value on the edmunds.com website, but that is not available any more.

Going to pick up a 2016 SLT with an MSRP of $53,390 tonight. Just finalized the deal this morning. Trading a 2014 SLE with z71 package and 32,000 miles. OTD $13,000 plus TTL. Not the best deal, but I'm guessing it's not bad.

This doesn't tell us much like what is the sale price on the new truck? What was the trade in value for your trade in? What did you buy your trade in for when it was new?

I understand your point, but I as of yet don't have the paperwork since I'm going to pick it up this evening. Maybe I was too anxious to share.

I can say that I personally value my trade-in at $29,500 based on my research and condition for my area. I always use my valuation and not theirs when negotiating. So, I guess that would make it $42,500 OTD.

I'm not sure how what I paid for my 2014 has any bearing on what I paid for my 2016.

I asked what you paid for your 2014 because I wanted to compare that to the trade in value that they gave you. No biggy though. Enjoy the new truck.

Hello all,

Thanks to the OP for posting this. (Though I really start to read the thread after purchasing my truck). I just purchased a 2016 GMC Sierra SLT All Terrain (Iiridium metallic) with the following options: Power sun roof, all terrain package, navigation, integrated brake controller, All Terrain Premium Package, and LED lights for $46,560 plus registration and fees (just under 47k total). I got $8,000.00 below MSRP of $54,560. The sales person said he couldn't go any lower or throw any additional accessories (floor mats) with the deal.

The dealership also had another truck with the same exact package with 9K off MSRP but my 'ol lady realy liked the Iridium metallic

I wish I could have gotten more discounts. What do you guys think of the price.
