Price paid?

I'm currently in the process of replacing my 2013 Sierra 1500 Denali with a 2016 model. My '13 is on an Ally lease which ends in May. I have made no headway in getting a reasonable deal. I tried going back to the dealer where I leased my '13 in October. On a '15 they were quoting me about $4k off MSRP. Which was about $1500 over invoice, factoring out incentives.

After that I got sidetracked until December. I went to one of the other two GMC dealers in my area. They were basically at invoice on a '16, plus incentives. However, they insist on marking up the interest (money factor) on the lease by a full 1%. Which was a deal breaker for me. And they have 'no haggle pricing'. So they wouldn't move on price. I refuse to deal with the only other GMC dealer in the area, as they are notorious weasels.

I'm now looking in western WA, and being quoted about $1k over invoice. What gives? I realize that with leasing, some of the incentives for a purchase go away. But invoice+ on a $60k pick up? If anyone has some useful advice, it would be greatly appreciated .I'm currently in the process of replacing my 2013 Sierra 1500 Denali with a 2016 model. I've posted regarding this previously- essentially need to consider a few factors- supply/demand - how desirable are pickups in your area vs available inventory, avg. salary along w/ cost of living- if you live in a ritzy area dealers will be less likely to budge on price hoping the next rich guy will walk in, brand new truck design you will pay extra for "latest and greatest" tax, and lastly- people lie- as in, exaggerate/fabricate the deal they got over the internet for whatever reason.

I don't think you should pay msrp let alone over invoice though all things considered

If you want to save money then make a drive out of state

I had a conversation with someone at Laura GMC a few months ago. What I got out of the conversation is that their sale prices are predicated on being eligible for supplier or friends and family pricing.

I have not heard that before and there are probably 100 people on here who drove or flew there to buy theirs. Can you expand more on this please as I am not sure it is correct or if they just offer that supplier pricing to everyone. All reports on here are the prices shown are the prices paid with the exception of $1000 trade in bonus so if you do not trade in a car you pay $1000 more.

Hey everyone... just Leased a 2016 Sierra Crew 5.3 4x4 z71 very well equipped MSRP 53,395.00 I was able to get it for lease price of 48955.00 and only first payment out of my pocket. lease is 39mo/10,000 miles a year. Monthly payment is 520 with tax included 7%.

I was able to sell them my old truck after the fact, 2012 silverado crew 5.3 4x4 with 19,000 miles that I owned for 27,000.00. It sucks to go from owning to leasing but I needed the cash out of the truck for a wedding expense.

Seeing some of the prices you guys paid makes me a little sick, but I went to 10 dealers within 100 miles of me and this was the best price I was able to get.

When I spoke with the sales advisor in November, he told me i was not eligible for the advertised price without a supplier/family code. I don't know if it made a difference that this was a lease and not a purchase. The lease terms he quoted me were for a 2015 model and included a selling price of $3-4k off sticker. Which was much different than the advertised price, which was at least $11k off sticker.

You won't get as good of a price leasing as you will a purchase. Some of the incentives are not lease eligible.

Recently test drove the Sierra SLE here in NJ.. Salesman offered it for $500 below msrp, That offer and fact that it's made outside the country sent me to Ford for a look see and I wasn't completely convinced. Since I already own a 2003 Silverado ( not for trade) I ended coming back to the Sierra's for another look. I'm heavily leaning towards it after repeated visits to dealer lots.I plan to purchase between now and end of February. How much below msrp have you paid for your new trucks. Your answers will be appreciated by me and countless others.

Where in nj are you located?? I live in wayne but made a 45 minute ride to sussex to get the best deal around. If its not too far from you, I highly suggest checking out royal buick gmc in sussex nj. The 3 dealers I went to close to my house told me if I wanted payments around 350 a month, I'd have to put 5-6k down. I walked out of royal with a 2015 sierra 1500 with more options than i thought I could afford by putting 3k down, and im exactly at 350 a month. If you decide you wanna reach out to them, make sure to get a hold of Alison. She hooked myself and a coworker up with no bullshit. Good luck!

I flew out to laurabuickgmc.com to buy my truck. They pick you up at the airport and you drive the truck home with temp plates good for a month till the title comes. 52000 msrp and I paid 38000. The 52000 included 1000 pkg discount that I see many dealers include in there discount.I even financed it through them for the full amount so I walked out without paying anything out of pocket. The price you see online is the price you pay. I tried my local dealer first to see if they would match but they wouldn't come close.

Might buy my wife's next vehicle here. Did you try to get them to come down on their listed price? Was it listed for $38k on their website?

Thanks for the help - great looking truck!

I mentioned supplier pricing but was told the the price was as low as they would go. The price online was the price I paid plus 174 for plates and paperwork. I found it on there website wed, put 2000 non refundable deposit on it and since it was a 2 day sale so I had to fly out on Friday that week, it had to be picked up by Saturday to get the price I paid. I met another buyer on the flight going there to buy a Yukon with zero down and 0 percent financing. He paid nothing that day and drove it home. He financed 67000 at 0 %.
