Price paid?

Wait a little while and the prices will plummet. The economy is beginning to tank in a major way and if you are lucky enough that you are not affected, then you will save thousands. If all the leading indicators are correct, they will be unloading everything close to cost.

I don't mind waiting, the only issue I have is the 15s are getting very very scarce around here. I'm looking at 3 V8 4x4 All Star/LT Plus left for all my local dealers. And I'd like a 2016 but the prices are even more. The first dealer I stopped at that was $36500 on a $48500 truck has sold that truck. Then another dealer has a $48k truck that they wont go less than $40k, and the last dealer has a $46k truck that is at $41.9k and they will not budge lol

Bought mine during the end of year 20% off sale. 2016 Sierra 1500 CC 4WD SLT sticker was $53k, got $11k off that. Stock on eligible 2015's were low so the delaership asked for permission to put a few 2016's under the sales program.

That's what I found also. I preferred the look of the 15 Sierra I drove, but it was a little more per month and the color choices at my price point were limited.....as in black or white! They didn't have any 16s in that had deals. I lost out on the heated seats and 20s but gained the new lighting package, color choices, and CarPlay/AndroidAuto by going with the 16 Silverado.....and saved some $$.

It's also a little fun right now because this area is flooded with 14-15 K2XX trucks, but I've only crossed paths with a handful of 16s. Going from driving sub $2k cars my whole life to something new that I've caught people rubber necking is new to me :)

Sorry I'm actually not in FL anymore need to update that lol.

I think the main problem is that they are only giving me $21k for my trade in that's just under 22K miles

The V6 will do that to you since its not a desired setup.

3 other dealers gave me $24500-$26000 but none had the truck I wanted. Just came home from another dealer, they gave me $24,500 for my trade. $48775 MSRP got it for $38147 otd, about $36500 before taxes and fees, so $25% off (same as the original truck I was looking at basically). Only thing is they wouldn't let me keep my Fold-A-Cover tonneau cover so I'll need to buy a new one.

Lol if the dealer is telling you they are keeping the tonneau cover then your negotiation skills need some work.

I kept my truck overnight since the new truck didn't get in until this morning. What I did was tell them I was keeping the 20s and the tonneau cover, worked a deal, worked the deal some more, and then even more. Once we had a deal settled I told them they could keep the 20s if they lowered my payment by a certain amount, after going back and forth they accepted. Then I did the same for the tonneau cover. In the end I lowered the payment by $29 by keeping both. I figured it'd cost me less to buy new ones than to pay the extra $29/month

i'd never negotiate the monthly payment amount

You can use it to your advantage, for instance if you know how it all works you can pre determine your bottom line, figure it all out and tell them thus I all I can afford, bought my truck like this, worked out great lol,

But yes usually that's one of the first questions they ask, n they know they have u hooked

He didn't ask, I told him what I qualified for with my own lender, how much I'm willing to pay every month for the same term my lender was giving me and told them what I wanted to be financed and what I was paying cash for. They got me a better rate thru their lender so I could finance a couple hundred more with them, which I said is fine as long as my payment stays what I told them. It took a few hours but I finally got them down to where it matched, then I told them this much less per month if they keep the wheels, when we got down to that I told them the same for the tonneau cover. I initially saw this truck at another dealer and their deal was almost $100 more per month "best final offer" lol. This dealer ended up lowering the price of the truck a little more and gave me more for my trade.

Hey Guys,

A dealer ordered a 2016 Sierra Denali 1500 with my selected options. He just informed me that it is expected to arrive in the next few days. I don't have any deposit down yet. He also said that another customer wants to buy the truck (might just be a sales tactic,or might actually be true).

MSRP is $60,835 (including $1,195 destination fee).

Invoice is $56,554 (also including destination fee).

I really do want to buy this truck, but I need to get the best price possible.

All things considered, what price do you think I should offer?

Thanks much for any advice.
