Brand new here but wanted to post my new purchase.

Blue, 2015, 1500, crew cab, 4x4, 5.3, All Star Edition.

Started dealing about a week ago and got deal done yesterday.

MSRP: 46,800 (plus 600 in pinstripes and nitrogen in tires, what a joke)

Final deal: 33,800 OTD

This included 1000 in equity from trade so still got the 12,000 off. All in all very satisfied with the deal. Just under 34k for a nicely optioned truck is good by me. Comparably equipped, a new F-150 couldn't touch this by about two grand.

Started off dealing on a red tag truck but it got sold. Dealer kept hounding me and kept trying to find an out of town truck. We had agreed on price but they were adamant that they needed to find another red tag because even then "they were losing thousands". Finally, while at dealership yesterday, the GM came over and told me, "just go pick any comparably equipped 2015 out of the lot and we will do it". Luckily they had numerous others so I was able to get exactly what I wanted. BTW, I was the only person looking or buying a car in the dealership too.

Very happy so far except for the BIG LIE Chevy told. Specs show 230 inch length on truck. I had measured my garage and showed 240 inches of clearance so figured I was in the clear. Somehow the truck is now about 4 inches too long! Oh well, first world problems!

Anyway, now is definitely the time to deal.

I just picked up a 16 Sierra SLT Crew AT with an msrp of $54,500 for $40,000 with the 20% tag and some additional rebates and dealer discount. I couldn't believe how great the deal was. It wasn't my first choice on color and a few options but for that big of a discount I couldn't pass it up. My brother in law also picked up a 2015 Silverado 1500 crew with a msrp of $48,000 for $34,100 at the same dealer. I got the last 20% off tag the day before on mine but the same dealer was very motivated to move the 15 as well. If your in the market for a new truck I think it's a great time to buy!

Hey Guys,

I have a tentative deal lined up on '16 Sierra SLT MSRP is $55,245 and fortunately I was able to snag a 20% tag, so the net price is $44,196.

Couple Questions:

1. For the sales tax, the dealership is saying the sales tax is on the sale price of $51,536 compared to the net price with the rebate of $44,196. So my tax bill is looking to be about $420 higher thanks to WI sales tax at 5.6%

2. Are there any other rebates that are applicable? Most dealerships I've spoken to are taking the 20% off the MSRP and that's the best they can do.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Im not sure how the sales tax works in Wisconsin i am in Minnesota. I purchased my truck at Hudson Chev in Hudson Wisconsin. I paid sales tax on the price after dealer discount. My trucks MSRP was $54,540. I got a dealer discount of $5,000 and rebates of $8,762.55 with the 20% tag lease loyalty cash $500 and another $1,000 gm rebate. That got me to $54,540 - $13,762.55 = $40,777.45 before tax title license. I think your dealer can do better. I basically got 26.3% off msrp. You should be able to get them to go 2-3k lower on the price, especially at the end of the year! Good luck on your purchase!

MSRP: $34,040

Price Paid: $26,000 before trade-in, fees, taxes

After everything was all said and done (taxes, etc.), paid $28,000 out the door. Traded in an old high mileage vehicle so that didn't account for much. First new vehicle purchase. Thought I did pretty good considering I got about 24% off MSRP, and it being my first rodeo.

Very satisfied!

2015 Silverado DC 5.3L V8 RWD

Came with an LT appearance package or something along those lines - forgot the lingo. Which included upgraded 20" rims which I am happy about. Will be modding slowly.

Cheers!

Purchased my truck two weeks ago;

2015 Quicksilver Metallic Silverado 1500 2WD LS DoubleCab, 5.3L V8, 3.42 Auto Locking Differential. Had the Custom Package which includes chrome mirror caps and door handles and 20in wheels. Also came with dealer installed wheel locks and chrome rectangular side steps.

MSRP: $34,280

Employee Price: $31,527.06

Rebates: $6,000, this included a $2,500 trade allowance that popped up while filling out the shop.click.drive form online, the rest was bonus and consumer cash.

I also got top dollar for my trade, price OTD was $22,846.91

Figured I'd share my perfect storm of a story. My fiancee was needing a truck as she recently totaled her vehicle.

Here's what we got: 2015 Silverado 2WD Crew-Cab, All-Star Edition, leather, life-time tint, My LINK, Bed Liner.

MSRP: $45,365

PRICE w/ rebates and negotiation: $32,500

Total Discount: $12,865 or 29% off MSRP.

Factors that were in play: year-end sales event, last day of year and for back-dating to December targets, mass inventory here in Texas, and my experience being in software sales(negotiating all the time).

I called around to all the dealers in the DFW area and let their internet sales manager know that I'd be driving away with a truck by EOB. We were looking for a steal and a vehicle with the options she wanted. Anything less and we'd walk.

Some were willing to play ball while others weren't.

Needless to say, 29% off MSRP is attainable, but you need to have the right approach and the right timing.

Is the $48k including tax, title and tags or the agreed to price? I ask because not all states charge tax at the dealership or so I've read. If I can't get the price I need on my '16, there's a '15 around that sounds similar to yours that I might get instead.

Red 5, sorry for the late reply. Yes it was 48,500 drive out with tt&l included.

Picked up a 2015 Z71 Crew Cab Monday with heated seats, LT Plus, All Star and a couple of other add-ons for $33900. List price was $48145. Guess 29.6% off isn't to bad.

Thanks for the response. I ended up with a '15 Sierra and got 20% off so I'm fine. I'm trying to avoid this thread now, I don't want to know about better deals.;)
