Swap 2014 SLE Headlights for SLT w/ LEDs?

I think mine my have melted from heat and not current. The design having both fuses touch each other is stupid. signboy, do you have any strain relief on the red wire from the add-a-fuse? When I first installed mine, I just plugged it in to the fuse socket, added a small cutout on the fuse box for the wire, and left it at that. When I checked it later, it seem the wire bundle would slightly pull on the wire (and the add-a-fuse.) After my incident the other day, I took extra time to wire tie the red wire just outside of the fuse box and made sure that the red wire was not pulling on the rest of the add-a-fuse. We'll see if that helps any or not. I'll add a picture later when I'm near the truck.

Wow. That seller also has a pair of 2016 Silverado LED headlight as well. Brand new pulled off a truck.

 

Personally I will wait to see if the price goes down a bit or a good adapter is made... then I'll consider blowing some money.

The rear led tail lamps are made in CANADA by MAGNA, just got a set,trying to install them but the harness is different,iam disappointed cause the back-up lights are a 921 regular bulb not led.

Yes, the 2016 has a different harness on the rear tail lamp. And yes the backup bulb is a standard 921 bulb.

The connector is smaller,has 5 wires,extra red wire is for signal return/lamp out indicator,tried to hook them up tonight but the signals are flashing fast,will give it another tryl tomorrow.

They are hyper flashing because there's not enough resistance with the LED's. You would need to get the taillights with built in resistors or add in-line resistors.

Hi guys long time for me to come back on, we have the tail lights harness all done, parts to make a lot of them are on the way, be here next week, now for the new headlights, we have that ready to test, will be doing it today and all week end, look for some pick next week when we have some headlight too to sale.

Any idea if you guys can get the headlights working on the 1500, would it be the same on the 2500?

Don't think that's a problem call us up and will get you set, by the way we ran the new harness and it works, after this weekend it will be on the site, headlights are on the way too.

razorback I installed an inline fuse and one of the spades I got from amazon. I also notched the lip of the box for th wire. It seems like a much better connection, we shall see.
