Is there anyone having no problems with their new 2014?

I have a 2014 Silverado LTZ Z71.

I have noticed noise from the back sliding window when it is opened and closed. Is this something that can be fixed? I see that others might have had the same issue.

11,000 miles and love my truck.

There is a PI for noisy or inoperative back window also. It indicates the cover pulley may come off and cause the cable to also come off. The fix is a new rear window regulator. I would have your dealer check it out and see if it is separating as the PI indicates.

Personally I would have liked to not have the sliding rear window but it is standard on the LTZ I ordered. There have been rumors of them deleting it floating around the various message boards which wouldn't bother me a bit. I am still waiting to hear from my salesman today to see what the status is on the order.

I would have rather not had the rear window also. Like you said with the LTZ package you didn't have an option.

I ordered my truck and less than 4 weeks it was at the dealership.

Great truck. Your going to love it. I'm pushing 12,000 miles.

I ordered on 10/22 supposedly GM accepted it. My salesman is a buddy of mine that only sells about a dozen cars a year. He runs another part of the dealership and only sells to friends and family. I don't think he orders many and the inventory manager is the one who actually submitted the order. I didn't get an order number or anything at this point. Heck I didn't even put a deposit down. Didn't seem like that was an issue they really liked how I optioned the truck and the colors so if my deal fell through (not likely) the inventory manager didn't have a problem putting it on the lot. My buddy did say they were going to order it as a sold order regardless.

I see in the ordering guide thread they killed the slider on 10/28. I shot an email off to my buddy asking him what the status would be on an order submitted before they killed the option. If possible I would like them to build it without. We will see what he says.

I am anxious to get back in a truck, it has been a while but I have had a few all of them 4wd. 98 Ext Cab 1500, 99 2500 Suburban w 454, 02 2500 Suburban with 8.1, 03 2500HD Ext Cab with LB7 Duramax, 06 CC short box 2500HD with LBZ Duramax. Currently I pull my trailer with my 08 Kodiak C5500 motorhome with an 8.1. It will be interesting to see how the 6.2 with Max Trailer does with my trailer that is pushing 10K

New user here, interesting thread. Traded my virtually flawless 07 Tundra for 2014 Sierra 4x4 5.3 6.5 foot box 10 weeks ago. 9,000 miles later zero vehicle defects and just one dealer defect. When they did the free service at 7,500 miles, they didn't properly tighten the lug nuts on any of the wheels. I didn't discover this until the truck spit one of the lugs off. On that particular wheel, only two of the remaining five were snug, though they still were not torqued properly. Checked all four wheels and not a single lug was properly torqued. Going to meet with the GM this week to discuss corrective action on this issue. My overall experience with this dealership has been great, so I'd rather not raise a stink with GM Corporate if I can avoid it. However, I'm sure mine isn't the only vehicle they are putting out the door with improperly tightened lug nuts, so this needs to be corrected. Whatever they do, I think I'll be going to Discount Tire for all my future rotations because I know they use torque wrenches and not just air guns to tighten the wheels.

Ordered my truck in September and picked it up October 5th. I've put abpot 2500mi on it so far and no issues. Buying a Beta model vehicle I expected to have some problems, I'm pleased to have gotten in after some have been fixed.

2LT Z71 4x4 Dbl Cab

- heated cloth buckets w/ console

- navigation

- 20” polished aluminum wheels

- LT convenience pkg

- bed cargo lights

I have the solid rear window w/defog and the screws for the window seals are black. Seats are sturdy/no squeeks (but hard as rocks and flat/formless for fat people). No AFM problems either.
