Introducing the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban/Tahoe & GMC Yukon

Recommended Posts

With the flat floor back from the front seats back (about 8ft), the subs really make a nice hunting, fishing and camping machine. Just as much off road ability as the pickups. Your fishing poles fit with ease. Gun cases locked down and handy with no tailgate to reach over. Makes good sleeping back there if you are camping without a cabin near by. About 2ft shorter than a CC short bed. So garage fit is better. will have to see what the prices do.

  • Anyone know when the 2015 Yukon will be available to order?
  • GMC site says early 2014. I'm starting to lean towards this than a CC.

I would guess at some point after the new year with deliveries at dealerships showing up in early summer. Just from past experience, that's my guess.

For those who are disappointed in the way they look: What about it do you not like?

Conversely, if you do like the new styling, what do you like about it?

I agree that the front of the Tahoe looks like a mini-van, a Chrysler mini-van. The sides are too straight for my taste and contribute to the mini-van look. The Denali front end looks the best to me but would not pay the extra $$$ to get it. The interior and the rear look good to me, but the lack of eight speed for 2015 means I will wait for the 2016 to see what they do. Too bad, I am ready to trade.

Dealer friend says Tahoe and Yukon should/may be at dealer late Fed or in March. Anyone heard anything?

I saw a Yukon SLT on a car carrier in south Louisiana last week (it's probably for a GM rep) and last Friday while at the dealer, the sales guy said they're taking orders now (though not sure if he meant in-house orders or actually with the factory). Either way, it shouldn't be long now!

I must resist the impulse to trade my Sierra for a Yukon....at least until my truck is > 1 year old! ha

I'm looking to buy a 2015 Tahoo or Yukon (depending on which I like the most when I actually see one) and read an article in the Dallas paper that the Arlington plant ran 200 new SUV's mixed in the line on December 2nd as a test run. It indicated that these trucks would be diverted to testing. I also read on a supplier website that the expected date of full manufacturing was Jan. 22nd, subject to change.

MotoMedic: I hear you. With the full flat floor back (8ft in sub) you can haul a lot in the Tahoes and especially the Sub. Unless it is tall, like a refrigerator or washing machine(trailer for such), one can haul a lot more than a truck and covered too. One pays for it but I still like my 90 Sub for moving things around over my short bed truck.

Will see what my dealer friend says Sat. on availability.

At the dealership now for 2014 Sierra recall...

The sales manager said they were told by GM the new Yukon's will be on their lots for the last week of Feb / first week of March, with Denali's following shortly after.

Hey guys, is anybody else bummed out about the lack of color choice? I drive a blue GMC and love it. Was really looking forward to a new blue Yukon in the future, but guess that won't be happening (unless I get a custom paint job). Why did they pull the blue metallic color altogether? Not enough sales?

Look at the photo below. Doesn't it look pretty? I edited it myself with Photoshop.

Got a question for you guys, looking at purchasing a 2015 Denali. I know a lot has been said about the high price and I agree it is a substantial increase but also understand they have added a lot of features.

Yesterday I got a quote from a dealer for Yukon that MSRP was $72,200. Said they just got word they can do supplier pricing in March and can knock off $6,114 to get price down to $66,160.

What are your thought on this been a good deal. Was considering waiting until summer when prices will be lower but figured I would go ahead and pull the trigger with this kind of discount. Thanks.

You can do what you want with your money but it would be stupid to pay that much... Wait 1 year or more and they will go Down in price..

I mean 66k for a yukon?!!?!? My diesel Denali didn't even sticker near that!!
