Adding Aftermarket Sub/Amp

Recommended Posts

Anyone run something similar to this? http://www.crutchfield.com/p_20611PS10C/Kicker-11PES10C.html?tp=114

I'd eventually like to add a sub. Had a large enclosure and a RFosgate P3 in my last truck but I don't want to waste that much room in this one. Looking for something small to fit under a single seat. If I do go the route of separate box/amp probably mount the amp on the back wall.

You are going to need the blue positaps. I used them in my build

I think the ones I used were black. The OEM subwoofer wires are considerably thicker than the rest of the normal speaker wires. Nice products tho, super easy to use.

Ah, I missed that part. The blue posi taps are adequate for the speaker wires. Not sure on the sub wires.

No probs.

For people wondering, the black posi-taps will work on the subwoofer wires.

I'm just about to start the kicker sub install on my 2014 Denali with Bose. Should I use the brown/blue-stripe and blue wires from the factory harness that they say I should use in the instructions, or should I connect via the Bose amp wires like you guys did?

I've almost decided on my sub/amp set up but I am wanting to post my wiring diagram for someone to double check. I think I've got it right. Open to suggestions that would make it better/more efficient. For those that are running the LC2i... where are you wiring your 12v power? Thanks.
