08 gmc sierra 1500 performance chips

hey I am looking into performance chips for my 2008 gmc sierra 1500. has anyone looked into these or purchased any at all? the best one I have found after a good amount of digging is the diablo sport performance chip. I know some say its pointless to put a chip on a truck but I want to look into it anyways

What all does it do realistically and how much is the custom tune?

The tune depends on how you want to do it. A hand held is about $580 and mailing the computers in runs close about 300.

Hasn't affected me. And I live in the Peoples Republic of California. Very strict on emissions

here is my last CA smog test. been tuned 9 years ago, 70K miles..

 

idle test @ 595 rpm max allowed measured

HC 100 18

CO 1.00 0.02

2500 rpm HC 180 14

CO 1.10 0.02

just curious, is it pointless if I ended up getting a small lift on it? I would imagine it would still do something but I wasn't sure if it would take away from the product at all

I know I have a different body but look in my signature my front us up 2.5" and changing rear springs lifted tgat 1.5". Looks better than stock

I did a blackbear tune and airaid mit intake tube on my 2008. It seems like it has more power, but overall just driveability is a ton better. It shifts and kicks down like it should!

I'd also recommend Blackbear. It made an amazing difference in the driveability of my 08.
