During the day you can see through if your right behind it, you be the judge here's a pic

Thanks man. That looks doable. Not worried about being able to see in a little bit. Right now with the 5% over factory, it is hard to even see out of the rear window during a sunny day.

First picture is with Tint from factory. Never had it measured, but probably around 30%ish. Second picture is with 5% all around. With the 5% on front windows, it doesn't bother me, but the back window is too dark. Probably going to get it redone with 15% over factory.

So, I'm a little confused about tinting. Stock my windows are 20% rear and 70% front. What % do I need to get my fronts to 35...(state limit) thanks.

I'd say to be safe, do 50 over the factory 70 in the front. Theoretically, that should put you right at 35% based on the math.

Waking up an old thread because I read this one 2 or 3 times and it was very helpful on picking out the tint i decided on. I wanted to go with 20% on the front but decided last second to do 15% on the fronts and 50% on the back windows. It came out perfect and I'm glad i did exactly what I did. The fronts are 70% factory and the rears are 20%. So it works out to .70x.15=0.105 so 10.5% for the front and .20x.50=0.10 10% for the rear. Here are the pics.

That looks perfect for me. I'm not wanting to put 5, but darker than 20. What did u do on the back windshield? I'm also considering doing 50-80 on the front

BTW i did the Llumar formula one ceramic on the passenger windows 15% and the Llumar ATR metallized 50% on the rears and back. I want to get the windshield done but getting a box cut out of the tint for inspection stickers doesnt sound too appealing. Im in PA where we have 2 stickers actually 3 if I put my weight class sticker on and inspection every Year. If it was 2 or 3 years i would just get the window retinted each time. Uhhhhgggh.

I did the same 50% all around the back windows and rear sliding window. Visibility from the inside is great during the day. Haven't been out in the dark yet and dont do too much night driving anyway so not too worried.

It matches perfectly from the outside front looks lighter because of the light coming in from the windshield but its not. From the Inside the backs and rear look very slightly amber colored but i assume that is due to tinting built into the factory glass.

very nice. I haven't looked into it past light levels yet, but I'm thinking about going with a llumar product. It's what I got back in 2006 on my f150 and it still hasn't discolored or bubbled and thats's with the Florida sun. It did start peeling a couple weeks ago from constantly rolling windows down, but if that's it for 11+ years, I can't complain. Also, glad we don't have to deal with inspections in Florida lol

Definitely get the ceramic. Llumar had a display with heat lamp and the different tints they offer. The ceramic is crazy. almost unbelievable how much heat it keeps from passing through.

$200 for all windows except windshield if i did all llumar metallic.

But i went with ceramic for the driver and passenger so that kicked it up to $280.

$140 for back and rear in metallic and $140 for ceramic on driver and passenger windows.

Cash no tax[emoji2]
