I put 5% on all four, and two layers of 5% on the rearwindow.

Can you even see out of the back window during the day? I'm not even gonna question night time as it must become a black wall

Yeah you can see pretty well out the back, it is definately dark. At night, forget about it; you can see headlights and that is about it.

I am used to it though and had a solid cap on my last duramax so I was used to the back window being useless anyways.

I just set up an appointment to get my windshield tinted this Saturday at 10. Going to get 45% film put on. SO theoretically it should bring the windshield down to 31.5%, HOWEVER the shop tells me that despite the factory smoke being a 70% tint that the windshield should only go down to about 40% even with the 45% film going on 70% glass. Is this true or is the shop incorrect?

No [emoji20] had a small crack in the windshield so they didn't want to tint it just yet. They said to come back after I got the windshield repaired cause they didn't want to make the crack run while tinting the shield. So I got them to tint my front windows darker. So now I have 2 layers of 35% film on the fronts and it looks so slick. Almost perfectly matches the back which have 35% over the factory 20% window.

I'm gonna get my windshield repaired this week and go back on Friday to get it tinted and my subs installed[emoji4]

Oh and I gave decided to go ahead and put darker than 45% on the shield. Imma go with 35%. I figured if I'm already illegal, why not go with 35%! It's not hard to see out at night

damn well that sucks.. & nice yea i thought of doing another layer of 20% on my front 2 doors cause the shit is still see through, during daytime but idk yet.. nice yea my first truck had 35% on windshield.. wasnt long though before i got ticketed though, he musta been really bored that day cause 35% was still too light for me.. i could see if it was 15-20% but i wanted to go with 35% on my 2014 windshield but went with 50%.. im tryna keep it somewhat kinda legal lookin..just tired of donating my money to the police department..

Is staying more legal looking the only thing that kept you from going so dark?

I just found a shop that will repair my shield this week. Gonna go Wednesday. $45 to repair 2 chips. I found a second one that's not spider in yet but want to fill before it gets a chance.

Door window is 2 layers of 35% ceramic film

Visor is 5%

Windshield is 45%

Rear (not shown) has 35% over stock 20%

It's a great set up IMO

I've never done window tint before and I'm sure glad I did it on this truck! And it looks so much better from the outside with such dark windows
