2014+ Leveling Kits

Recommended Posts

Here is a picture of the tire the only one that was not too big I guess. Dumb. 295 70r18 factory rims.

Do you have a 2" level? Any rubbing? Any trimming?

Think these will rub with a 18x9 -12 offset aftermarket wheel?

2" RC level with 305/50r20 terra grapps, rubs sway bar at full lock turning left only. Only have some iPhone pics now, gotta clean her up soon. Can't beat the 305 width though.....97baaf0aa7092704d8b9ba6a2f691eb2_zpsbb955917524251cf4dd48555cf5a13444614_zps06c761d0bb0bd17be6570abee197862a4de8_zps6e03

Looks good. That's probably the tire size I'll go with. How bad did the tires hurt your mileage?

Having a hard time deciding between rcx 2" front level or the whole 2.5" front and rear.

I have 3.08 gears so I won't be going with a big tire and all, but def is slammed into the dirt

I've read a lot of comments about how the 3.08 gears are slow. I have a 14 Sierra with 3.42's and a 07 Suburban with 6.0L, 4speed (4L65e) and 4.10gears. I prefer the 5.3L 6speed 3.42 over the 4 speed 4:10 gears. I put this spreadsheet together to clear the air on this subject because I see how often it comes up.

In summary the 6L80 tranny with 3.08 gears should feel very similar to a the 4L60/4L65 4speed tranny with 4:10 gears!! Gear for gear up to 5th gear for OD ---> Just don't use 6th gear! You still have a better setup than the older 4 speed trucks. The 6 speed and 8 speed transmissions are changing the game when it comes to delivering both power and economy.

Not sure yet, just got them installed Thursday. Once I burn a tank I can report back, I can tell a difference with light throttle though Edited by hodges25

2.5 rough country lift level. on stock tires so I dont know for sure with that offset. I have a slight rub on the carpeted wheel well but nothing that I am even worried about trimming. I am going to go get the tires rotated early and I might just put a flat screw at the very bottom of the carpet to keep it from even touching at all. its literally a 1/8th of an inch diff. so minor I dont need to do it. I only rub on hard turns backing up or really sharp turns in parking lots. Other than that it is perfect. honestly check the stock offset on the 18 inch rims from gm. if your not incredibly off then when you get the tires have them test fit them. if they dont fit the front or they rub horribly then just dont get them. when I ordered mine I told them upfront that if it was going to rub horribly or not fit right I wast going to a diff. size. sorry for the delayed response I was on an oryx hunt this week.

Hey guys.. sorry if this is a rookie mistake.. Any how-to vids or step by step instructions on the leveling kits? i took a quick glance around and didnt see one. I havent decided which kit I want to go with yet, but I would like to do it myself. (novice in the garage)

thanks, and sorry in advance if i posted in the wrong area. I know how that ruffles "some" feathers :)

Here is two videos that will help anyone who needs it. I installed my Rough Country 2.5'' level myself. It had a spacer on top of the strut and one for the bottom. These videos are on the NNBS sierras and silverados but they are basically the same for the new 2014s. One guy explains his process but is using some other type of leveling kit that involves grinding his bolts which i didn't have to do. The other guy is using rough country's 2'' level on the bottom of the strut which seems the exact same that are being used for the 2014s. Good luck.

anyone running the Bilstein level shocks? They do 0, 1 or 2" from what I read. I hate spacers and aftermarket stuff. 1" Billys have me looking... I need some rake, I use my truck as a truck.

I installed the rancho quik lifts, so far I am very happy with them, the ride is better.

pulled the rear blocks off my leaf springs to level my denali. looks great and cost nothing. brought the front within 1 inch of the rear and didn't change ride at all.

Do you have any pics of the truck? I was also thinking about just lowering the rear to level out.

I was excited about it because the reviews talk about how smooth of a ride they give compared to stock. I sometimes regret getting the Z71 over the standard 4x4 because of the stiff suspension in it. Potholes and speed bumps will jar your bones!

Oh, and do you have to get a new alignment with the quicklifts? I assume you would but not sure.
