Yukon Grizzly Locker or Detroit Locker?

Recommended Posts

Alright, so in one of my other posts, a bunch of people told me to get a Detroit locker instead of a posi trac unit. I added that to my parts list for my differential builds (front and rear). I just contacted Randy's Ring and Pinion and get this, Yukon has a Locker that is actually claimed to be better than/ equivalant to a Detroit locker, PLUS you have a $2000 insurance on your differential if it grenades. Covers the cost of parts and install, and all of this for less that the Detroit.

Now, this is one of those "too good to be true" moments for me, but then I went on google and looked up comparisons and reviews between the two, and a lot of people, more on the Jeep forums, would purchase another grizzly locker because they were thouroughly pleased with it, and the price tag.

So, I was wondering if anyone has a Yukon Grizzly Locker installed in their truck, and if it is a quality product? Wouldn't mind saving some money, plus have insurance for my differential. But I know a Detroit locker is a tried and true locker by many...

EDIT: Its only a $20 difference, just noticed that. But the warranty could also pay off...

Sounds like a score to me, like you said, if they are warranting the item, then it will get replaced. They must not have too many problems with them going out either to have such a good? warranty for the locker so I say go for it! You be the guinea pig cause I want to replace my G80 with a locker and 4.10's! :D
