When will prices start to normalize?

I'd be thrilled with $2 grand in incentives! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Does your job offer supplier pricing? I think someone posted if you join Costco you can get supplier pricing. That's about 3 grand off right there.

I snagged a good deal on a two seat jogging stroller. That did not fit in the trunk and actually took up most of the back seat. Then again, I don't see me using it much except for walks from the house. I still have a several months to go before they enter the world.

As far as I know, the wife's company does not get supplier pricing from anyone. I know I don't we don't have a Costco nearby, so that is out. My buying strategy, if you could call it that, has been to email the various dealers to get their best price while letting them know they were competing against each other.

The problem lies in that I am pretty picky with my interior and exterior colors. That might limit my ability to find what I want and whatever dealer gives me the best price.

The smart thing would be to grab a truck that is a few years old for a cheaper price. I am just not that smart.

Eh, I dont do smart when it comes to trucks, BUT you can get a killer deal on a 13 right now. I went to find a new 13, and of course my dealer had to mention that he had a 14 that is basically the same color as my current truck. Took it for a ride and went right inside to do some pricing. That Ahole gets me everytime!! After we spoke price and after my GM family discount, payments were still up there, even with a 15% down payment. I asked why and he informed me that the rates are not as low right now and to wait for more incentives. He knows I will only buy when 0% is available. He said just sell your current truck, get a beater and wait it out. Well, thats my plan. We did speak about the 13 and honestly, I should go that route just b/c I have been on a savings kick lately. He gave me a price of 24k for a brand new 2013 Crew sle. Felt STUPID walking on that, BUT we want what we want right? Good luck with your next truck man and with the twins! Kids are world changers, but its for the better. My 5yr old just took his dirt bike out last night with no training wheels!!! He did so well. The feeling I got from watching him learn and become so proud of himself was def heart warming and worth all of the practice. Now my 2 yr old son is trying to ride it haha.

I could NEVER buy a 13 knowing the 14's are out and how much better they are. Better off buying what you want than regretting it.

Join Costco online. $55 to save yourself over $3000 Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I spent some time with Costco today. Their website for their car buying program is not up to speed for the GMC 2014's Sierras. For starters, for the 2014s, they do not have a crew cab that you can even select as a truck to purchase thru their program. I couldn't believe that so I called them. I think the gal that answered the phone for the car buying program previously worked in the produce department and knew absolutely nothing about the website nor very much about the program. So, if you go to this link: http://www.costcoauto.com/new_cars/results.aspx?modelid=26043&modelyear=2014 (which is their link for the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500) you will see 7 trims, 6 that are double cabs and one regular cab. If you change it to year 2013, you see 33 trims. When I asked her what was up with that she suggested that maybe the dealers weren't participating with the crew cabs. Of course we all know that is bunk, but I just said thank you and hung up. Bottom line is Costco's car buyers program is not ready yet for 2014 GMC Sierra 1500s.

Really they just refer you to a dealer. All I did was find out what dealer near me participated in the program and called them directly. Just build a truck (any truck) and when the dealership calls you (which will be quickly) just tell them what you want.

And is that just straight invoice pricing (including added options)?
