I haven't experienced this issue but I had the TSB fix done a while ago.
A friend experienced this on his 2016 Sierra and I mentioned the TSB. Dealer didn't even know about it, same as my Chevy dealer when I wanted it done prior to any potential issues.
Everything was good for my friend after the TSB fix.

Thanks for this!  The GMC dealership that I took my truck to knew about the Thermal Bypass Valve and the shudder.  I had them replace the TBV as well as flush the transmission.  This took care of the dreaded Silverado Shutter.  Total cost was $1,037.  I asked how often the tranny will need to be flushed, they told me every 60,000 miles.  Granted I won’t need the TBV changed again, but that’s still $800+.

There was a TSB that came out around 2016 ~ 2017 for the tranny flush and replacement with Mobil 1 Blue Strip I think it was.  I had it done for tranny shudder problem which it fixed.  It also reduced but did not eliminate low speed hard shift problem between 1st and 2nd.  For some, torque converter replacement was necessary to eliminate shudder.  About vibration problems; I not aware of any single fix for that.  If you read back through the hundreds of posts you find the root cause blamed on virtually every part on the truck.  I don’t think it was ever eliminated from this generation truck which is 2014 ~ 2020 or thereabouts.

Is the vibration occurring when you’re accelerating or braking? If it only happens when you’re braking then the rotors are warped and need replaced. If it’s doing it while accelerating, it’s something else.

Never when braking or coasting. Only under power.

Well, mine made it about 45k. I don't recall having the TBV valve replaced, but I'm calling service department back tomorrow. Guy was very helpful when I called him last week with pulling up my service record and notes.  Appreciate you updating the post.!

OK. Looking up that part on GM Parts. Also looking at some service videos. Doesn't look too daunting to do in an afternoon. Might as well change the filter while I'm there. Probably best to have a seal on hand even though the OEM is reusable just in case it gets damaged. The fluid is crazy expensive.

Last May, we got a (new to us) 2017 Silverado with the 6.2L 6 SPEED auto. It had 33K miles on it. After we towed our RV on a couple of camping trips, I noticed it was doing that 'vibration' or 'shudder' thing. I got progressively worse and sometimes the shifting would be jerky in low gears in a down shift or upshift 1 to 2  or 2 to 1 shift.

Then it would, say around 45 mph, shudder that felt like I was going over rumble strips in the road. Yes it felt it was coming up thru the steering or tranny.

I did some research and discovered that this "Chevy Shudder" was a well-known issue that was ignored by GM. Seems that many of the trucks assembled in Mexico, the wrong type of tranny fluid was used, and Chevy just shipped 'em out anyways with no remediation.

This would cause shuddering, erratic or jerky shifting, etc and but the time it got that bad, the torque converter was shot and would have to be replaced. I called a couple of Dealers and the were welcoming me to have a look at it, for a fee, of course. I declined and called a local GM dealer and they took it in and looked at at and ended up replacing the automatic transmission - flush and fill some 20+ quarts at no charge, as it has a factory warranty until 60K miles. That, so far, has cleared up the problem, but if it comes back they'd said they'd do the torque converter replacement, as the wrong fluid glazes up everything in the TC. So might want to check that out and see if you too have "The Chevy Shudders".....

I am not the original owner, but the title was transferred with only 6,000 miles. Didn't notice any vibration or shake until around 25k miles. It was very slight and progressively got worse, it was only and issue at certain ranges of speed. Since I wasn't the owner I never received any notices even though I updated all info with GMC. The nickname I heard was The Chevy Shake. The issue, as I understood it, was GMC put the wrong transmission fluid in it. Obviously my truck had the issue but GMC said my VIN was not included in the list of problem vehicles. Dealership wanted around $700 and GMC said they'd do what they could to help. Didn't trust that at all. Friend of mine owns a auto service & repair business. He said he was familiar with the issue and, although he works exclusively on Honda, Acura, Toyota & Lexus; he said he'd do it one night after they closed. I paid for everything. He did the drain, flush, clean and fill. I live about 15 miles from his shop and by the time I was 2 miles from the house 75% of the issue was gone. Over the next day the issue was completely gone. Took a 350 mile roundtrip drive the next week and not a single issue. Had it all done for $200. Trusted my buddy more than the dealership.

I just paid a local shop to do this, what are the odds I can get a refund from GM?

It's no longer supported under the TSB.
My friend had to pay about $180 (if I recall correctly) to have it done at his GMC dealer.
Included transmission fluid change, as well.
So, unfortunately, no refund, but, as I mentioned, it fixed his issues and I had it done as a preemptive measure at my Chevrolet dealer. Pretty sure I paid, as well ... I'd have to go through my receipts.
