GM has officially closed my case and told me to live with the vibrations. I filed the BBB complaint but think I would rather just hire a lawyer and do the lemon law.

Which is the best direction for a quick resolution? Ready to go buy a Ram Rebel. Done with GM forever - lousy lousy customer service.

Best direction for a quick solution? Not a lawyer and pursue lemon law, that's for sure. However, if you have the prerequisites for a lemon law case in your state (number of visits for the same problem, # of days out of service, or both..) AND you can live with the truck for several more months, it is the best way to make you whole again.

I have a slam-dunk case but that doesn't stop the process from taking forever. Currently more than 2 months since filing suit.

Your quickest way out is to trade it before it loses more value to depreciation and shop around for a deal, but you'll have to bend over for that option.

This attitude of GM just makes one more determined to look elsewhere when shopping for a new truck.

Check your plug wires. There's been a issue with the wires coming loose at the coils.

I made sure they were on there tight. I read there is a clip that goes missing sometimes? Cylinder 8 is rear driver side correct?

My 2016 CCLB 6.2 has a vibration above 75 MPH. Not terrible, but annoying, especially for a $50K truck.

My dealer admitted there is a vibration, but the pico says it's within specs, therefore they won't do anything.

They supposedly checked runout on the driveshaft, but couldn't provide me with the readings, so I'm dubious.

Had a long chat with the service mgr-- he said the frame beaming issue magnifies any vibration, but say GM won't authorize service given my pico readings.

He also said that since I'd put a straight pipe in place of my muffler, the local field rep would deny any vibration claims-- flies in the face of Moss Magnusson, as well as common sense.

Changing from Michelin LT's to P's has helped, along with RFB, but there's still a vibration-- most probably wouldn't notice it, but I'm anal about my vehicles, and especially sensitive to this issue.

By the way-- the Michelin LT's (275 65 18) weigh 9 lbs more than the P's, with significantly stiffer sidewall of course, so no wonder they give a rougher ride.

I installed the leaf spring clamps in front of my axle, and torqued my U bolts from about 40 to 70 lbs-- but no discernible difference.

I may pay for a driveshaft balance, but beyond that we're into axle/differential stuff, which gets expensive, with no guarantee of success.

I've been holding off installing my leveling kit as that would somewhat understandably kibosh any warranty for vibration, but at this point-- what the hell.

How does the Moss Magnusson act protect you if you take off a designed part like the muffler and run a straight pipe? I am all for modding out a vehicle but you take your chances when you decide to go that route. When you start changing out factory parts or altering certain parts then it could effect how that vehicle operates and if I was GM I wouldn't want to honor the warranty either. Of course we all know that these mods probably have no effect on the vibration issues but that is the chance you take when the modding fun begins.

I have an appointment today at 1030 pulled out of my apartment and went 1-2 miles and saw blinking lights. Pulled on the side of the road waiting for tow truck. Will keep you guys posted but do not think my problem is related to the actual vibration issue as I had that happen before at 5k miles.

You can get whatever you want out of an engine if that's what your objective is and you want to invest the money. Case in point; Henry Ford II decided to stick it to Ferrari for going back on his agreement to sell to Ford. Henry put together a team headed by the late Carroll Shelby (who btw designed my logo while in a drunken stupor down at the Terilinqua Chili Cook off way back when, lol) who took a big ole 427 pushrod wedge head and beat Ferrari, swept 1,2,3, and its sophisticated DOHC engines, and did it for the next four years in a row. The big 427 was then outlawed by a displacement rule as I recall. Not refined enough for European sensibilities I suppose, lol :)

Have you got a chance to watch the "24 hour war" documentary regarding the whole Ford versus Ferrari battle. Really good flick if you like documentaries. Ford wanted to buy Ferrari to compete with GM on the racetrack, Ferrari backed out and so the GT team was developed, For the first few years Ford still couldn't compete with Ferrari. It wasn't until they brought on Carroll Shelby and his team that they were competitive and swept the podium. Shelby get's most of the credit but Phil Remington Shelby's chief engineer is the guy that made it happen.

I watched a documentary awhile back on it, probably was one and the same. And, i enjoyed it. Just out of curiosity I checked Amazon to see if it's in there and it is. I might just order it as I'm going down to Big Bend in a couple of weeks and I like to take a few new dvd's along as there's no tv or cable reception down there. Btw, as I recall, Ford became a winner when the big 427 side oiler was dropped in the car. Rude and crude brute power made it into a winner :)

I took a 500 mile trip on an interstate road last weekend and the shaking was very evident at 70 mph and above. Feels to me like it comes from the rear so I lowered the driver's side mirror to look at the wheel. I can clearly see it wobbling ever so slightly to the exact frequency of my vibration. Passenger side is fine. So I swapped the tire for my spare. Same wobble still there. When I got home I removed the caliper and disc to see if the disc was seated on the axle flange properly which it was. The axle flange itself is not true.

I have an appt at the dealer friday. What are the odds that they'll even check the axle flange runout even if I tell them about it. My bet is they balance the tires yet again and send me on my way.
