Don't know what tires they put on, but it will come back, that I can assure you, it may take a couple hundred miles, but it will come back. I've had the tires replaced on my truck a couple times now, and it always comes back. What size rims do you have, and are they GM rims? the foreman at my shop believes the vibration is worst in the 20" and 22" rims, and occurs due to a lack of support in them. To me that means low quality lol

If thats the case than a set of aftermarket rims should solve all of our problems and you solved the mystery. 614 pages and 1 million 200 thousand views for nothing.

Yet you're still trolling here?!

Many members have traded in their shakers but that doesn't mean they are trolling. Maybe they just want to see if a REAL solution has been found. They are just giving a suggestion based on their experiences with their current choices.

For those members who have traded for another brand, I'm glad you are in a truck that satisfies you and doesn't shake and drive you crazy and make you mad. I'm glad mine went away with a new set of tires or else I'd be in the same boat as y'all.

It's just amazing to continue to see all the problems that GM cannot seem to get corrected. I was a very long time GM proponent until I bought a 2014 Silverado. I empathize with everyone on here that are fed up with their very expensive pickup.

well im putting it out there.....i purchased a loaded silverado sticker was 48k in april of 2015. after 3-4k it shook horribly on the highway! i took it in to my dealer multiple times. they couldn't fix it so i talked to gm and the best they could do is give me a 4500 dollar trade assist. i found a GMC sierra i liked and heard GMC was having less issues with the shaking or vibrations. so i pulled the trigger in fear of me having a much wors problem with the silverado down the road.

so my GMC drove nice up until..............3-4k!!!! i now have the same problem on a 50k sticker truck!!!! i have taken it back multiple times and they say my tires are not road forced balanced. so after two weeks and over a dozen tires they finally get it in spec. ride home was fine but after a couple hundred miles it shakes again.

all in all ive owned 8 GM pickups. i will not be buying another one...... this is too big a problem for GM to just cast me aside and not care.

buyer beware these trucks have a MAJOR issue and GM DOES not stand behind them!!!!!!

My 2016 Z71 Crew Cab has shook from day one. Now has 9K on it. Third trip to dealer and I took service manager for a ride. He seen and felt it and stated my entire passenger side door was shaking also. Speed of 70 mph up. They checked it out and here is what he txt me.

"Ordered a ring and pinion set, found excessive runout causing some tight spots as it spins the ring gear"

They came and got my truck today to rebuild the rear end.

See what happens. I thought I read a while back in this thread that someones truck was fixed by replacing the rear gears.

Is it only Z71's with locking rear differentials shaking?

Oh, and when they had it in for diagnostics they put a large scratch in my front bumper..........I understand things can happen but the person who did it has to know they did and it took me to find it. That is upsetting.

I tried the spring clamps, in my opinion it did reduce the shaking but did not eliminate it.

I believe some have reported the ring and pinion to resolve their issue, others have not. And all different models have been reported as vibrators not just Z71, neither of mine were Z71. I had an LTZ and a High Country. Hope it works out for you.

I had a whole rear end, 3 drive shafts, 3 new tires, a set of wheels and tires off another truck on the lot, engine shims, 3x road force balancing the tires I had and they couldn't fix it on my 1st 14.

Not to start World War 9878687420 with you now, but look at how JD power started, http://www.jdpower.com/about-us/history they had "clients" in auto manufacturers. I personally don't trust or care what any of the "major" reviewers say. I go by news articles, small time reviewers, and forums. these are the only places you get the real truth. JD Power is bought just like Consumer Reports, BBB, etc.

by the way. the JD Power ratings are based on repairs within the first 3 years of a vehicle being manufactured, meaning its older vehicles, not the current new ones. see for yourself http://www.jdpower.com/industry/automotive

**EDIT**

sorry that was for their Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) their Initial Quality Study (IQS) only takes the first 90 days into account... 90 whole days. I don't know about you guys, but 90 days is enough for me to buy a vehicle based on it hahaha. Like I said, JD Power is a joke.

Cmon man, that is so ridiculous. Just because you got a lemon doesn't mean the whole brand is down the crapper. Lemons happen these are mass manufactured vehicles and defects will happen, no matter the brand (yes even Toyota and Lexus have lemon).

I traded my 2014 Sierra AT in last week for a 2016 Acadia. My dealership is the only reason. I still come on here because I am baffled and want to see if there is a resolution and I have friends that still have a similar truck and are starting to notice the issues even though I never mentioned it to them. Not really fair to call those that got out trolls IMO.

What's funny is when we first bought our Dodge Durango back in 1998, dissatisfied owners on a Durango forum where praising the foreign SUVs because they were picked by J.D. Powers or some similar organization (maybe Consumer Reports???).
