When they change out your tires, ask them to look at the camber. With only 19K miles, sounds like your wheels may have too much negative.

A toe out condition will also cause excessive wear on the inside of the tire. If both sides are wearing more on the inside, then incorrect toe may be more likely, as camber would require both sides to be off, whereas toe is a single adjustment and will affect both side equally.

I, too, can vouch for the vibration issue with the 2014 Silverado. Like some of you I didnt test drive the truck at highway speeds. I noticed the vibration as soon as I got on the highway headed home but it wasnt bad enough to turn around. After a couple days of it I started looking online to see if this was normal and I found this thread. It's been a little over 2 years, 68k miles, 2nd set of tires, numerous trips to the dealership, and the problem is still there. Each time they give me the same excuses of "can't duplicate it" or "its fixed". At first they kept telling me "its a truck, it will do that" or "well you have the 20's on it so it will ride rough". Yeah, especially compared to the Acadia I just traded in for this truck. But it still shouldnt ride like a tank. I've ridden in 18-wheeler tractors and H1 Hummers that rode like Caddy's compared to this truck. I've talked to co-workers and friends who have the exact same truck and they all love theirs. It's been long enough. I cant stand driving this thing anymore.

I am bringing it to another dealership to try some of the things i just read about in this thread and see if they can resolve it.

BBB granted my repurchase. 3 visits, 4th and final repair, and an attempt AFTER the 4th visit. 52 total days out of service.

The process was smooth, and easy but it took a while to get to this point.

Been real quiet here so I'm guessing JesseD and SillyBear got that little vacation lol

Or, like myself - it sucks but nothing is going to ever happen. Learned a lesson - if you buy a vehicle and it has a problem, immediately start with the lemon law and don't take "no" or "GM is working on a fix" for the answer. I have about 18 months for lease to expire and I am going to trade in on 99 Wrangler because after this my guess is the Jeep will feel like a Cadillac.

Good morning Justin P,

I apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused you, and recognize how multiple trips to the dealership can be frustrating. However, I am happy to see that you have been working with a GM dealership to address this concern, as I understand you’re your desire to have this diagnosed. I would be more than happy to provide you additional support while you’re working with your dealer. Please private message me with your VIN, full contact information, current mileage and dealership you plan to work with if you would like my assistance.

Best,

Julianne M.

Well after going back and forth with GM a bit via email, I accepted a trade assist offer contingent upon the approval of the full compensation of all accessories and warranties on my truck. It will not cost me anything, and I am just waiting for the updated offer letter now. Still very nervous about another GM, and don't know which one I'll be getting. H*ll may even go straight to anther Brand and dump it with 40 miles on the clock, still havn't decided that yet.

Over 600 pages and climbing, so I am sure this post will get lost.

Just an FYI, I just mounted a set of take off tires and rims from a 2016 on my 2001 Sierra. It now has that harmonic vibration above 65 MPH. Tires are balanced, its more of a harmonic vibration, not a tire out of balance or a bent rim.

I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado that did the shake. I stopped the shake when I took my 4 wheel auto off and put it in just 2 wheel. The 4x4 drive shift was trying to engage when accelerating when it was in 4 wheel auto. No more shake she runs so smooth.

Now why would you tell him that?? you just like the guy that told me he would help me and did nothing... don't lie to people and give them false hope, that is just not right or fair!

I believe there was a transfer case recall for the 2014's. You might want to look into that.
