Do you have a vibration issue above 70 mph? If so the pico results don't show them testing the truck at that speed. It looks like you have an All Terrain presumably with 275/55R20 tires. If that's the case a T1 vibration at 70 mph should occur at 12.3 Hz T2 at 24.6 Hz and T3 at 36.9 Hz. 9.4 Hz as shown on the paper work occurs at about 53.5 MPH. So of course it's within spec at 70 mph when data was taken at 53 mph. it's like dropping your phone from 4 feet and it not breaking and then claiming it won't break if you drop it from 8 feet. Service manager can't read a PICO???? But it's within spec, what a load!

Yes all terrain but I get vibration at all speeds it gets worse in auto they keep testing in 2wd. I also have at 70 mph. So these pico results are within spec the service manager told me the truth was not supposed to be above 2g? That's when I pointed out to him that it is above 2g on the one line at 60 mph.

All I want is my money back so I can go to a brand that actually builds a truck properly and takes care of their consumers

Well Jesse, as I recall, you've mentioned the Tunda a time or two. In event you do indeed choose the Tundra, as a going away present I've attached below the Tundra Forum URL for your easy access. I noticed that there are even a couple of sub-forums addressing vibration and shaking. So, you should feel right at home there. Happy Trails :)

I agree with the Service Manager not being to read a Pico thing, but the software GM uses only takes a 30s snapshot of where they claim the vibration is the worst, so according to them, its the worst at that speed and within their made up spec.

Gm uses millig (also known as mGal) not g, something there is odd. you are also supposed to keep the truck in 2wd, not auto. I don't know why they bother having that as an option, driving in auto is bad for the truck.

I get really bad wind buffeting when I roll my back 2 windows down running 75 mph . It will shake the whole truck and is really loud. I think it is still buffeting with the windows up but I just can't hear it. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced that . I have a 2016 Sierra Denali 1500...I also have a bed cover to.

This even isn't an issue. Every vehicle I've ever owned did it. What do you want, you're going 75 mph, any and every vehicle will do it. And you guys wonder why GM won't give you the time of day? Crack the front windows slightly and relieve the pressure, problem solved. I'm sure your whole truck isn't shaking and why would you run 75 mph and roll back your two back windows anyway?

So Anthony, you should really talk to the dealership, they are brushing me off again on the tire issues and I have to buy a new tire again because they keep going bad. I took it for a second opinion yesterday and the tire was so badly out of round it would have taken 4oz and 6oz to fix it at Discount Tire.. hell you could see the tire hop in the machine.

They say because I scrub the curb with my tires it is causing them to go out-of-round. I say BS on that.

My dealership put all new tires on mine. It will improve it for sure as it did last time. But as the tires wear, the vibration will come back. New tires just mask it in my opinion...it WILL come back. It is a design flaw. GM needs to get their shit together.

Everyone that has had a dealership say it's bad tires.

What tires do you have?

Is it the Goodyear SRAs?

Just wondering if we could find something common between the trucks that vibrate and the ones that don't.

Do the guys that upgraded to the BFG K02 have vibrations?

I have Continental CrossContact LX20. Tires definitely mask it. Damn shame. If they really want to mask it, they should pony up a new set of Bilsteins 4600/5100/6112 and a new set of tires every year it's under warranty. At least I wouldn't be completely pissed. Edited by severado

You don't understand how severe it is. Its sounds like your inside a subwoofer and the rhythm is the same frequency as the shake. Has nothing to do with cracking windows and relieving pressure. Cracking window you can hear it and further down the louder it gets..I don't ride around with windows down. I know what normal wind buffeting sounds like and this is not it.

I swear, the factory shocks are trash. Anything else would be better. Every day comfort would be fine until there is a new development or progress with the Shakerado.

Hey scooter484,

I understand that this kind of experience with your dealership can be frustrating and I would be happy to reach out to them on your behalf. Can you please send me a private message with you VIN, mileage, and contact information so that I may look into this further?

Thank you,

Anthony Z.

I had Goodyears....they gave me two more at 20,000 kms for the front....made it a bit better, now at 30,000 k I have michelins on it....my friend has pirellis', his just started vibrating....definitely not tires.

What really upsets me is that when I can actually afford to dump it, the re-sale is going to suck so bad because of this. More and more people are noticing it, just in my circle of friends that own the trucks....not shocking that dealerships (Ford, Toyota, have them on their lots with little to no miles on them) for sale....
