So I found out from a friend of mine that either someone at GM or at one of the 2 dealerships I've had service at, has put a note in the system that I am a "aggravated customer". Well no shit GM lmfao

Aggravated by the Shakerado. Keep up the good work.

I can just imagine what they have about me on file LOL. I am picking up my truck tomorrow after a week and a half. New tires for me. Basically that will mask the vibration some until the tires wear down again...When I can financially get rid of this truck without a huge loss...she's gone.

Must be an epidemic LOL!!!!

Glad its not just the GMC's! We can suffer and vibrate together!

What's really interesting is the very first posts on each thread. Read them both and tell me if your poop detector starts pinging. Mine sure did....

Thats scary.... maybe we all need to go tundra lol

Loved my tundra... Never should have traded it in. The 12mpg kind of sucked, but knowing what I know now, I'd gladly take that truck back... Shit I'd pay to have it back!

I would pay to have my 2011 Silverado back. Flawless.

New dealership service says I have a bad tire (replaced under warranty) and my tires are out of balance. Even though tires were road force balanced last time. I'll see if anything changed later today.

Is the shake/vibration issue predominantly in the 1500's or does it affect the 2500's as well? I'm asking because I'm in the market for a Silverado 2500 Duramax. Are the 2016's better than the 15's or should I wait for the 2017's to come out? thanks for the replies. I do understand that not all trucks are affected by this issue.

There are a few reports of it happening to the HD trucks as well but not nearly as widespread as the 1500's. That could also be because the fact that most people don't need an HD truck so frankly there are fewer of them plus most HD trucks are company trucks and 99% of those guys could give two shits since they trash em anyways

Be aware, the 2016's do have the issue, the 2017's will also likely have the issue, I suspect that there wont be any change until the next redesign which is supposed to be for the Model Year 2018. The HD trucks do have the potential to have the issue, but it is no where near as common as the 1500. there is actually a thread on here dedicated to it. I'll edit this post shortly and add the link for you.

last post is from October, so I seems to have died down, not that it was all that big to begin with in the HD trucks. Ive driven both the 2500 and the F-250, IMHO the F-250 rides much much better, if you care about that.

Got my truck back. New tire and balance felt way better. The first thing I did was push it to 70 mph on the tollway. Ride was pretty smooth up to about 68, then the console and passenger seat shook hard right as I reached 70 up to around 82. Then it settled down. Service guy tells me they couldn't have balanced the tires at the other dealership. All 4 were completely out of balance. Sad it has to be this way. Apparently GM is short on good mechanics.
