If you have the opportunity, try adding some weight to the bed and see if that vibe changes. I noticed my high speed vibe was diminished when the bed was full of snow. Has me thinking pinion angle. I'm still waiting for a couple things I ordered to see if I'm correct.

The primary problem is the trucks are super sensitive. Most vehicles can mask vibrations or harmonics that normally occur. A number of these trucks obviously can't. I think the key to long term happiness is making them less sensitive. However, what works for one may not work for all. I think shocks, pinion angle, and a couple others things may help. Heck, it may take a redesigned driveshaft, if bed weight makes a big difference. I'm also kinda wondering if the air that passes under the truck is somehow inducing something that feels like vibration, but I have nothing to support that, I'm just thinking outside the box on that one.

When I was at my new servicing dealer, they did a test with a couple trucks, including one identical to mine, they had a pallet of ice melt, pretty close to max pay load, and they admitted that the weight make no difference, and in a couple trucks made it worse.

First off, I never said that guy is stupid. I said his statement was, there's a difference that you obviously can't see.

Second, I firmly stand by what I said. Absolutely no way, one can have their warranty void for torquing a few nuts. Unless of course you're dumb enough to way over torque something like your head bolts and break them off, and them tell them you did so.

Maybe you'd do well to read up on the Moss Magnuson Warranty Act. Sure some people have had a dealer "void" their warranty without cause, or having burden of proof. Businesses get away with stuff all the time because people are uninformed. The worst is the insurance business. They only get away with it because people allow it.

I already posted info on it for them XD

My truck is finally going in to my new servicing dealer tomorrow to get the pico test, which incase anyone missed it, the GM failing spec is 22mg or 22 millionths of 1 G force (think G's like in an airplane) sorry not sure of any better way of explaining it and this (per the service dept. foreman). This "limit" still allows the truck to vibrate some, to which I said is BullSh*t for the amount these trucks cost.... For anyone who doesnt know the Pico they are using measures vertical, and lateral movements in the truck through sensors that then send a signal to a laptop that they bring in the truck with them.

They are also going to look at my radio, because that has issues. Not expecting much for the vibration, but hoping I can finally get a working radio at a minimum.

Hmmm.... I know the snow load I had in mine definitely made a difference. I guess one of the major problems in tracking down the vibes is that there are so many different vibes in the trucks that have them. The minor vibes that I have, I can influence them with weight, tire pressure, tire location on the truck, etc. I've yet to go to the dealership about it. As I stated in an earlier post, my goal is learn what I can, and attempt to take the sensitivity out of the truck. Balancing wheel/tires is going to be nothing but a short term fix, and the vibes if temporarily fixed, will eventually return. I'm also funny about letting them back "under the hood" unless absolutely necessary.

Me too. They had mine for almost three weeks. I left specific instructions not to wash, dent or scratch the truck. Well,, they washed it with something that stripped all the wax off. When they called for me to pick it up, they said it wasn't washed like I requested, but when I got there, the roof trim was ripped back on the passenger side. They said "Oh, we washed it, but only by hand" Which means they used a broom on it or drove it through a car wash. I don't don't like my truck being outside at night, much less parked where I have no control of who does what to it. They need live internet feeds so we can watch them while at the dealer. Day cares for kids have them, why can't our trucks.

While I have not heard about the dealership I deal with doing so. There's another local Chevy dealerships service dept's techs that I know for a fact "create" work by saying things like brakes need replacing. While I know that at 5,500 miles, I have no reason to worry about those types of issues, there's always that chance that something will be inadvertently damaged, updated without my knowledge, or who knows what.

I once got a recall letter on my '95 S-10 for broken solder joints on the windshield wiper motor board. I filed that info into memory, and threw the letter away. Being out of warranty, I wasn't about to let anyone under the hood. When I did finally have the issue, I removed the board and re-soldered the joints, put it back in and kept on going.

I'm still undecided on using my "free" oil changes.

Well, trip to the dealer about vibration today it was blamed on tire issues (vibration) even though they were new 10,000 kms ago and it has had the same vibration since new. The clunking sound when shifting the gear shifter from D to R to P is normal...(even though it sounds like shit) and apparently the shocks don't give issues so the body roll, poor handling on bumps is normal too...

SIGH!!!

Funny...same thing here...except they aren't buying me one...LOL

i do a yearly trip to NB and discovered bumps is something you have a lot of there. :)

Hopefully a new tire fixes things up. Maybe try re-torquing the leaf spring u-bolts. Has helped a few out here with vibration and clunks.
