Update- truck is back ar dealer to measure the vibrations as has been described in this forum many times. The dealer Service Rep. Acknowledged the vibration and most if not all Crew Cabs with 20 in wheels will vibrate to differing extents. I could sense their frustration in this on-going issue with many trucks coming back to them describing the same vibrations. It is not clear to me if GM is covering all these issues at warranty so dealer can get reimbursed . I certainly hope they are as it puts Service Dept. in the middle of GM and customer. GM puts a big emphasis on customer satisfaction these days, but how can customers be satisfied with a "vibrator"? They are stuck in the middle with a no win outcome.

I am so disappointed with GM. I still can't believe they know they have a problem, but appear to be turning their heads because it will cost them big $ to fix so many affected vehicles. What makes it even more frustrating, they are making big profits these days.

So, I knew where this is going. I am going to have to make a decision soon. Try to et GM to buy it back, trade assist or live with it. All of these options suck? Do I want a trade assist in hopes to find a non- vibrator. Buy back? I can't imagine a driving a non GM truck? I love everything about my truck, but the vibration will be difficult to live with.

Shoot me!

What? Can't be that many vehicles affected. Didn't you get the word from the GM-Bots a few pages back? It's only five guys on this Forum who have a vibration. All the other trucks GM made are just fine.

If that's the case, put 18" wheels and tires on it. Problem solved!

Just left dealer..getting even trade. Msrp for Msrp. Tried to deduct for mileage but have none. Tried to deduct from day problem occurred. Had documentation it started on day one.

Upgrading to 2016 2LT . Msrp is $54,045. Old Msrp is $50,875. $3,170 more minus 2 loan payments of $700 = $1,770 plus tax out of pocket. So if all works out when the time comes it should cost me no more then $45k out the door.

They're getting new truck from another dealer stock. It was a big concern between service manager, sales manager and I about the new truck vibrating. Agreed I could drive it for a day before I buy. If it happens down the road it looks like I'll be starting all over again ( hopefully not ). I think it's worth the chance.

Update as it happens.

You better plan to drive it at least 3500 miles during that day.

I feel your pain. I love my truck but i hate the shakes.

There are more trucks that shake that you think. I was told to take my truck in on a specific date and there was 5 other trucks waiting for GM engineers to look at them.

If that's the case, put 18" wheels and tires on it. Problem solved!

That dose not work. I have tried it.

Do I count twice since I've had 2 of them, or am I still one of the 5 :) Vibe, they don't all vibe right off the lot. My first one started at 2000 miles, second one at 300, second one you can't hardly drive it in 4X4 mode.

My truck was shaking right off the lot. During the test drive I told the dealer. They said it will be taking care of. I had no idea these trucks had this issue when I baught it. I wish I knew.

Sorry the quotes are all messed up. I tried to fix it.

Hi, I have a 2015 Z71 1500 Sierra with 7,500 miles on it. For about the last 2,000 miles I have had a shaking on the freeway at 70-80 mph. My shaking is so bad the passenger seat moves about. Also I can see the box shaking in the mirror.

The steering wheel also vibrates.

Mine shakes a little when in gear but at a stop. I occasionally see the tach dip below 500 but it goes right back up. Not sure if I have this issue or not but it kind of reminds me of older V8 trucks. It just doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me.

So after sleeping on it I decided to go for the buyback. Thanks for the response from everyone! Your all correct. It's just not worth the chance and funny enough the service manager and sales person agreed with me.

Spoke with sales manager and he said no problem. He's seeing DM today and for me to call GM and have them call him to confirm everything which I did. According to him this should be short and sweet. My only concern is the 2 payments ($1400) which I'll fight for. Probably worth the loss to get out of this mess!

As of today, 71 days owned, 31days of that was in service. Almost all of the other 40 days has been waiting for service calls. 1712 miles, Not by choice I put a 1000 miles on it (only vehicle). The rest is from back n forth to dealer and test drives.

Thanks again for everyone's input... Really appreciated it... Will update

thanks again for response from everyone.

How are they saying that is normal? I also almost got sick driving on the PA turnpike from the truck vibrating. I got a call from my service director today that told me his GM rep said that if they hooked the vibration machine up to the front passenger seat and it tested normal then not to repair. Even though he admits he can definitely feel the vibration. Mine gets way worse in auto mode vs rear wheel only as well. And defianately when you accelerate after coasting for a second. Almost like the engine is shuttering and can handle the load. It also does it at all speeds.

Guess I am going lemon law they have not even offered a buy back

I posted a few days ago that my truck was repaired using wedge shims to raise the pinion angle. Believe me it worked I have no vibration. My dealer replaced the ring and pinion, the tires and hooked up the monitor system to test the vibration. I've driven about 2500 miles since the repair and I'm satisfied. We have scheduled to have the same done to my brothers truck. My reason for commenting on this again is it seems as only a couple of people actually read my post and asked questions. I will post the part numbers for the repair parts tomorrow. It can't hurt, ask your dealer.
