The funny thing is that I used hose clamps to fix the sliding seat cushion issue in the Silverado based on a recommendation on this site, and it worked great LOL

Of course that was after the Chevy mechanic told me that it was normal for the seat to slide back and forth because I had the Premium Package with the lane tracking crap lol

Does anyone know who the ring/pinion/axle supplier is for Ford?

I've driven both the ram and ford. none I drove had vibration

So have I and none of them had vibration either. I've also driven a couple of 2015 Siverados before I purchased and none had vibration either. All of the Chevys that i drove were tested on the interstate. I do alot of interstate driving so its always a must during my test drives.

That's my experience which I realize is different from what some others have experienced.

Well I would like to add my Silverado to the list of vibrating trucks. I have a 2015 Silverado LT CC with the rally 2 edition. It's had vibration that was noticed in the first few hundred miles and has had the rear end rebuilt which did improve the issues but it's still not fixed. It has also had all new wheels and I forget how many tires and balances without reading the paper work from the dealer. The dealer actually offered me a trade which rode like crap as well, but they at least tried to work with me and have been a good dealer to work with. The vibration seems to come and go but is always present at most speeds but the worse being on the interstate. The truck meets all requirements in Florida for the lemon law and I'm over this damn truck. So my only question that I need some help with is do I file lemon law or just go right to the BBB? I'm thinking to do both because I don't think they can fix this POS.

Few weeks after opening BBB case...GM called and offered...get this...2 car payments and an extended warranty!

MY TRUCK IS PAID OFF. I paid cash, there is no money owed on it. Do they even do any research before calling people?

Anyhow arbitration is next.

How has this been going for people?

Last time I was told that someone from GM would call 1-2 days before the arbitration date was set, and offer exactly what you were asking for (full MSRP trade for people that bought under GM discount)...and exactly that happened.

Wonder if this is still the case, or if they are fighting back more and actually going to the arbitration meetings now?

I don't know how or why they would. How can you deny the truck is a lemon when it had to have multiple tires exchanged with new, rear axle exchanged with new, body removed from the frame and remounted...etc...Anyone can get in this truck and feel the vibrations, and rubbing noises. My vibes have been getting worse as time goes on. Now between 68-72 there is a rubbing/grinding/vibe thing going on that reminds me of the gas pedal vibration I had on the first truck. This one is a constant vibration...whereas last time it was a pulsing vibration.

The saga continues. Will GM ever learn to build these trucks properly (without defective parts)?

I picked up a RCSB work truck 2 weeks ago and have vibration issues as well. I can safely say it's not the tires as the ride is smooth, but my center jump-seat seems to shake severely while the rest of the truck seems stable. My truck is equipped with the 5.3 and tow package. The only thing that I can think of that would make my center seat move that much is not having sufficient dampening in the seat mounts. Passenger seat will vibrate from time to time too but not nearly as bad. My roads are smooth (interstate section is 10 miles long and freshly paved).

I really like my truck, but I would like it even more if GM had a fix.

Has anyone tried putting some weight in the bed? I have the 45-55 mph vib and noticed when hauling fire wood it was significantly reduced.

About a year ago I did this. I went to home Depot and bought a bunch of sand bags in key West for my drive home. Needless to say the extra 1000 pounds in the bed did absolutely nothing for my 73+ vibration. I drove 6 hours up US1, 95, across the alley, and North up to Cape Coral. That truck was eventually bought back. Now I have a 14 LTZ they gave me for my LT, at no extra charge to for my inconvenience.

One thing that is interesting about the Ford forum at least, is that even though it isn't nearly as long as this one, early on in the thread a Ford rep actually offered to help, but since then, has gone silent. Just like in this forum with the GM rep that offered to help, and now has gone silent as well.
