Shake or Vibration Issues

I also have a real bad vibration under hard acceleration. Real noticeable with a trailer hooked up. Figured it was normal. I'll let them know about it when it goes in next week

Hopefully it helps! Unfortunately for us I feel like all the rebuilding and messing with our truck has messed it up beyond repair. Now when we drive it feels like something's just going to fall off. I had a small vibe over 70 and I was just going to ignore it. It wasn't as bad as some of you guys' vibe.

 

My dealer just replaced my steering rack since it was making noise while turning. Now my vibe above 70 is awful.

Precisely why I haven't taken mine into the dealer, I'm afraid they'll start throwing parts at it and make a slight vibration a terrible one in the process. Lots of posts about vibrations moving around after repairs was at 45 now at 70 was in the seat now in the steering wheel and so. 2 years of this and gm still doesn't have a fix, what a joke. This was the first gm product I have bought in over a decade, switched because of poor quality control I guess nothing has changed, hopefully Toyota gets up to speed technology wise on the tundra. Probably more American labor in the tundra than my Mexico built sierra anyways.

I actually looked into a Tundra as opposed to this Sierra. I just can't get over the overall package; I feel like GM has done it better (aside from my vibration). Same goes for my issue with Ford. With Dodge I like, aside from the exterior styling. We will see if I get into a second Sierra soon....

I never mentioned the vibe to my dealer. I have aftermarket tires, wheels, and level/lift, so I assume they would blame it on that stuff. Plus it wasn't that bad.

 

I agree that changing parts is only going to make it worse. This is my first ever GM. It was also made in Mexico

We know someone that just bought a Sierra SLT Z71 last week and has less than 1,000 miles on it and went down to Key West and felt the vibration. First thing she did was start googling.

So Someone new buys a new S/S has the vibration, does a search which leads them right to here, registers and voices their concern and you think somehow they aren't telling the truth.

 

I dont own a new s/s(and going on 200 posts), but I drive one at work that has the problem, should I not post here? Am I somehow wrong according to you?

 

I guess post count is the determining factor.

Just went to my Chevrolet dealer to drive another truck. Took a 2015 CC with 20s and thing shook the crap out of you at 74. We took it back and we asked the salesman if he'd drivin it at 74, he said no he only got to 70. Went in told the manager that at 74 it was jnbearable(seriously, no where near as bad as the GMCs we drove) and he said it's probably time we buy something else. Then proceeded to tell us he'd bet us $1000 it wouldn't bother him. WTF. You don't say that. Because you're on. My Husband said lets go and of course he didn't have time. I looked him straight in the eye and said "yes, it will bother you". We will NOT be returning to that dealership to purchase a vehicle EVER.

 

Edit: it had 31 miles on it when we took it.
