I'm in Oklahoma my selling dealer had a field service engineer come drive it and he said "its the smoothest truck i've ever driven". They have road force balanced my tires about 5-6 times with no change in vibration. I have tried 2 other chevy dealers locally and they both have told me since I didn't buy the truck from them there is nothing they can do for me.

I've called GM customer service and spent hours upon hours on the phone trying to get someone to help me. I emailed their entire upper corporate structure and have received no response. Now when I call they transfer me immediately to their legal department and they tell me that their position has not changed and they are going to do nothing to help me. I can't even get them to put their vibration analysis tool on it.

I have a feeling my selling dealer is the issue here. I gave them 4 chances to correrct the vibration before calling customer service. After customer service called the selling dealer back I got a call from my service advisor accusing me of "going over their head". Ever since then I've had nothing but problems.

Wow, they are seriously steamrolling you! Already, the other dealers should have helped you. I bought my truck over an hour away and have been dealing with my local dealership since day one of my problem. 5 trips so far. They have been nothing but awesome and have done everything they can, these words came out of my service managers mouth. If I were you I would look into the lemon law in OK. Make a detailed log of everything that has happened and how they are turning you away. Try to record some conversations if you can. Take a video of the vibration and another in a different car on the same road to show them the road isn't the issue. I would also ask if a statement from a certified machanic about the problem would help your case to show there is a problem. We saw another rally 2 (exactly like ours) parked twice at a machanics and stopped this last time to talk to the owner. The machanic WAS the owner and he said it's not normal, but he's living with it. He only tows on the highway so he doesn't care...... I guess since he can fix it himself after the fact he doesn't bother with reliability? ANYWAYS, if your Lemon law procedures are like here in FL you will go in front of a board with GM and they will decide what happens. Hope this helps! Edited by Bdkfl

You should be eligible under the OK lemon law if you have brought it four times. I would bring it back one more time with a letter for a final repair attempt. This is you letting them know this is their last chance. Once you get the vehicle back, if it is not repaired, you can use lemon law. Now, do you absolutely need a lawyer for that? Also, what has the BBB mediator told you? Why won't they help?

This is the Oklahoma lemon law. Very vague.

BBB is the only course of action in Oklahoma besides a lawsuit.

Done all that. Have 6 repair orders called and told them I was giving them one final repair attempt. Sent a letter for informal dispute resolution to the address in the back of the warranty book.

No response. The BBB keeps telling me they are waiting on the manufacturer to get back with them to schedule a date for arbitration. Private attorney is the only recourse as stated in the link I posted. The Oklahoma lemon law is not enforced by any state agency.

My truck was in the shop so many times, way more than 6 times for sure. They finally fixed my truck, my dealership found that the ring gear was out of spec. My truck rides smooth as glass, it took over a year and 21,000 miles for them to fix it. It got to the point that I didnt want the truck anymore but I was patient and the dealership pulled through for me. My vibrations was insane at and around 75 to 82 mph.

Shake and Bake,

Where did you feel the vibes? Seat? Steering wheel? Deceleration? Acceleration?

I had all 4 RF balanced, they replaced 2 rears. Vibe now in the steering wheel around 65 and above

THe only time I do not feel shudder / vibration /shimmy is under hard acceleration.

It almost feels like something in the drivetrain / torque converter is not working correctly.

Nothing in the steering wheel, just in the seat, my center console would shake like crazy. I got two tires replaced they are Goodyear what else can I say about that they are junk tires for sure. My dealership road forced them about 7 or 8 times. After I came back and had the service manager come ride with me and when I got to a certain speed about 75 and up it was like u just flicked a switch and it started shaking. I could feel it under acceleration and when I lift off the gas. To me if your feeling it in the the steering wheel sounds like a front differential issue bearings or drive shaft issue. My dealer checked everthing and just came upon the rear ring gear and it was only off by .001 just that little out of spec makes a huge impact on how the truck reacts to speed. I feel your pain for sure I didnt know what to do but I was respectful and showed the dealership what it was doing not telling them.

Wow, our lemon law here in FL is enforced attorney general. I can see why you're in such a predicament. We've been dealing with it for 10,000 miles, ours WAS in between 72 and 80, now it's almost all the time between 42 and 50 and 65 and 80. I guess finding that one mechanic that will help you out is you're only option. Sorry I couldn't be of more help :/ OK sucks if you got a lemon!

Trade it and take a loss for now....save your records because eventually they will recall. Too many people with same issues. I feel I was totally forced to trade my vehicle....truck cost too much money to have to deal with vibrating ...... GM needs lesson on true customer service!

My truck seems to have the typical vibration. 73 plus mph, and it started at about 8000 miles. It manifests mostly in the center console. I have the folding console with the 60/40 bench. Do the owners with captains chairs have the same vibration in thier console?

My truck was vibrating really bad in the center console. I told the dealership that by it shaking in the center like that it tells me its coming from the rear. Once my ring gear was replaced its all good now. No shaking or anything now. Have your dealership check it out, it worked for me mybe it will for you also.

They rebuilt that on ours and that's when we felt a 50% improvement, which was the best change. Don't know what happened because it's horrible again now :(

My 2014 LT Crew Cab 6.5' is in the shop for the 5th same issues as most of you.

It had a vibration at 42-50ish and then at 74ish also under acceleration at about 75 it makes a loud vibration noise.

Tires have been road force balanced 3 times, they even ordered new machine to make sure.

New Tires seemed to help for a few weeks then it became worse, thought i was just going crazy. (18" GoodYear)

Took it in yesterday, today they called stated that they scoped it and the rear end has a vibration they will be taking apart and checking the sepcs on the current rear end and replacing it.

I would like to note that my dealership has been nothing but helpful, this is obviously a well known issue by now that GM has to know about with all these field "engineers" testing vehicles. Its also obvious they hope as most people are oblivious to the world that they will never notice this issue to save them $$$$$.. I on the other hand expect my vehicles to be 100% and especially one with 4000 miles and it has been doing this since day one. I will be going down the lemon law path on the next visit I can't afford to be paying for a broken vehicle.

I now have a full set of continetal tires, I have to say they are 100x better than the Goodyears.

But....

I still have a shake and this week I noticed that the truck wobbles from left to right while rolling in drive around 3-5mph, It also appears that you can see this from the outside. I had my friend drive it and he agrees (Toyota Master Tech).

Anyways back to the dealer tomorrow. I have all the lemon law paperwork ready to go. Hopefully we can start a buyback tomorrow.
