I'm about to start this three ring circus on my truck. It's shaking hard above 65- 70MPH. I videoed it everything is rumbling. Just started at 10K.

If it just started I would almost bet that one of the tires slung a weight or something. Good luck. My first Chevy had a couple tires replaced, 3 different driveshafts, engine shims, a set of wheels and tires off another 1500 on the lot, a complete rear end assembly and they said they couldn't do anything else... Never fixed anything and the vibration was always the same 73+mph. GM gave me 5k trade in assistance and they dealer gave me 35k for my LT 4x4 w 7500 miles on it. Y

Bo tie it was the new drive shaft. This thing rides smooth as a Lexus now. Better then ever.

I truely am happy for all who's trucks get fixed. All i can say is stay on the dealers and be calm and courteous. The dealer is your best friend. That is the best advice I can give... Mine had 3 shafts w no cure.

For what it's worth, a member on the gmi fourm just bit the bullet and put a set of Bilsteins on all four corners and said it fixed his vibe issue. I believe it to after almost 5k on these stock rancho shocks, I am ready to spend nearly a grand to put new Bilsteins on myself. Going over a speed bump is almost comical at how bad these shocks are, as the poster said above they don't feel to be damping a thing!

A grand? 4 Bilstein shocks should run you around $300-$350 in materials. If you pay someone to install them it's about another$350.

I put Michelins on the first day I had the truck and Bilstein 5100s the first month. Never understood why one spends 40-55,000 on a truck and then ride around on the two cheap oem items that affect the ride. Have it in your budget when you buy. If not just wait tell you can and then buy.

5100s are around $350-450 for 4 depending where you buy. Labor to install should be one to 1 1/2 hour for shop time.

So, running mine into dealer Monday.

1. Slight Vibration in steering wheel all speeds

2. Vibration in seats

3. Rattle in center dash

4. Harsh ride like shocks aren't dampening in the front

5. V6 to V4 and V4 vibration

19,000 miles

That would describe just about any poorly maintained 15 year old car/truck with 250k miles.

Got my buyback letter from the BBB Autoline office to verify my conversation with the repurchase coordinator the other day. Should be done in 7 to 14 days.

What i'd like to find out from everyone. How many of you are having vibration issues when vehicle goes into V4 mode. This mode could occur at any speed and will effect, with vibration, the steering wheel, pedals, seats and entire truck.

Thanks....just curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing my truck got bought back for.

I can almost guarantee the rattle in the dash is the sunglass holder above your head

That's funny you should say that I noticed my sun glasses holed rattling this weekend, have you had yours fixed and what did they do?

My truck is smooth in V4 except when the throttle is lightly pressed while in V4. Mine then slightly shakes and has a slight drone. I put on a dynomax VT muffler and that just magnified the problem but still only when the throttle was lightly pressed. Give it more gas and even if it stays in V4 the shake/drone goes away. I sent back the catback because of it.

I just open it up and jiggle it close it and it stays quiet for a while lol. In the sunglasses holder too small thread I believe a couple people have fixed it themselves.

Sunglass holder is welded shut. lol. I tried taping the hinge to isolate the noise and closed it, now it wont open. but it does not rattle now...

The v4 vibration is really bad when I slightly depress the throttle.

I wonder if I have Torque Converter shudder.

I think it has something to do with the motor mounts causing the shake and vibration in V4, its like when the engine is in a high load situation the mounts cant handle it, mine does it also with the 6.2 373 gear. Mine shakes really bad when im accelerating hard to get going pulling my camper and boat up to around 4000rpm then starts to fade away.
