Crazy again how we all notice varying vibrations. Mine is worst accelerating uphill between 70-80 where you can feel the entire truck start to vibrate. Other than that I usually just notice the petal vibration.

When you guys say you feel it in the steering wheel do you feel it on the wheel itself or more so on the center column part where you'd honk the horn. I can always feel a slight vibration if I place my hand on the center part but not the wheel itself. I've paid attention recently while driving other make vehicles and the center steering wheel vibration seems common or normal but I have not notice a gas petal vibration in other makes.

I agree it sure would be nice for GM to get this figured out. I have no idea how hard or easy diagnosing vibrations can be in a modern vehicle but it seems like with today's advancements in technology they'd have done it after 2 years now.

Overall I sure do like my truck a lot though. Here's to hoping it tows good this summer.

For me it's felt in the wheel where you would hold it.

Today I noticed my phone charger, resting in the center arm rest cup holder, tick tick ticking away as the vibes intensified.

My 2009 had one between 35 and 45. Ended up being the exhaust system. Doesn't new ones have a special valve or something in the exhaust system. Just saying? I found it. They are calling it a flapper valve? Just food for thought!

My vibration issue is random at 40-44 and 75-77. If it vibrate I let off the gas and reengage and it's gone. Happened randomly

In this case I think your AFM system activation and transmission shifting programming are most likely causing this.

I had the tires rotated and it got worse. It changed so I don't think it's that. Never mention vibration is felt in the chairs and center console

Mine is pretty much on the steering column and steering wheel but its only a little bit but enough to be annoying . What I dislike the most is the Audible sound it's like driving on a rumble strip type sound or how when you have a your windows down on certain cars and you get that pulsating type window noise . I noticed when I roll all my windows down you can't hear it and actually a few times I thought the vib was gone but figured out it was just because my windows were down . Even though you could still barely feel it not having the sound and vib at the same time made it much less noticeable . Or if your on a rough road you don't notice it .

I really like my truck to with the exception of the slight vib and starting to learn to live with it but it's a really shame because they are such nice trucks and Excel in so many other areas.

My 2014 had vibration in gas pedal and steering wheel the vibration in the wheel has gone away at 14000 miles the gas pedal still has some but way better then it was the biggest complaint I have is the shake or vibration I get in my seat and center console. Some times it will come and go sometime it will not stop let off the gas, floor it,switch lanes it won't stop. It seems that when it's not doing it all the time it will start up when going around a turn on the high way go for a lil then settle down start up slowly and get worse then peaks out and goes away and starts all over again it's hard to say but after playing around with it going over the same road 5min later the same speed and it didn't do it I'm begging to think its bad harmonics it changes by gas leave and my truck gets worse with a load in the bed and gets better with weight in the cab I can't even haul my dirtbike with out it shaking my off witch is bs going down the highway when two vibration are insync then fall out of sync that would causes the vibration there are vibration waves that run up and down the frame I think if they could find away to deaden the frame some how it may help but I'm not a engineer I may be all wrong with harmonics but that's why they tell us there is no fix for it Im just trying to get different ideas from others on this issue I have drove 3 2015s 2 of the 3 didn't shake the seat or console but the gas pedal and wheel still have it I would think that would get better as mine did

Id say that the light vibration in the gas pedal/steering wheel is mostly harmonics because if im sitting at a rail road crossing with a train going by I can feel it pulsing in and out and when the trains by the vibration is gone, same thing happens if im driving down the street and a Harley rides next to me. Id say its something to do with mounts not dampening engine/exhaust vibrations or since the gas pedal is right by the driver side exhaust manifold its vibrating the fire wall some how which the steering wheel is mounted to the dash bar and then to the fire wall. Just my thought. Mine will seem to do it going down the street every once in a while in a high gear and the torque converter locked lugging the engine, its all harmonics I think.

My truck (1600) miles has only the pedal vibration at this time... It's a rhythmic vibration/shudder felt at highway speeds during light/moderate acceleration, it can be heard slightly and felt in the gas pedal. I would suspect pinion flange warpage or driveshaft balance. The motor mounts in these trucks have lots of movement and slop in them(secret to its comfy-ness) and driveline angle is affected by this. It's easy for us the chase the symptom of a vibration. No one really resolves it too much and I'm going to have to take this into my own hands... =/

My 14 Silverado1500 will now be going back for a 5th time. I've had 3 sets of tires, numerous balancing, a new rear differential...and nothing has changed. The vibration is still felt around 50mph...but real bad once i hit 70. I'vespoken with GM numerous times at the early response unit. Ive threatened the lemon law last week. They are now sending a field rep out this Thursday to look at my truck.

Based on this site ive asked them to replace the dtive shaft but dealership just doesnt want to listen. They are usimg some "high tech" pico scope to measure the vibration...so their relying solely on that...

Any other ideas besides the drive shaft or rear differential?

They know after this week, they either have to find a fix or buy it back.. or else lemon law papers go out Friday.

  1. Has anyone checked the transfer case? Or front differential while engaged? At highway speeds (smooth road tracking straight) changing from 2 wheel drive into 4 HI, the every so slight and annoying vibration becomes very apparent, and a slight wining noise can be heard.... I will be bringing mine in to check this out.

Yes, our Yukon has more vibration in the steering wheel and seat when the system is in 4 Auto then in 2 WD. That said, there is still some vibration when in 2 WD, so not sure what that means....

Today gm called me and wanted to settle my case they offered me 500$ towards gm accessories I can understand now why others just go and trade there truck in it saves a lot of frustration now I have one more step to go through and then it's a lemon i shouldn't have to be an ahole to get them to listen but that seems to be the only way

I have the exact same steering wheel / center console / gas pedal feels you are having. How the hell did you get GM to call you? I've had 2 RF balancing done (1 I had to pay for as tires are warranties until 7500 miles and I'm at 14000).
