The viberation its self is irritating but the long term effects bothers me more, premature wear on driveline components (u joints, ring and pinion, bearings and all the interior and body components that will all be loosened up in the long run to contribute to rattles). Not to mention all the work preformed will now be on the trucks history report effecting the value of the truck.

What scares me too ! We planned on keeping this truck a while , not like the last ram I bought , traded it in10 month for this truck

I've been putting up with this issue (vibration at highway speeds) since my 14 Z71 was new back in June of last year. It's been into the dealer multiple times. Balanced, Road force balanced. Rotated..no luck. Dealer installed Nitto 20" tires and gear rims.

Dealer sheared off a lug stud when first trying to fix it and took 3 weeks to get a replacement. They have difficulty un-mounting the rims every time I take it back to the point the service advisor tells me she HATEs my rims.

Dealership has gone as far as asking that I take it elsewhere to see if someone else can balance it to see if the dealership's machine is "off". Unacceptable.

This isn't just an annoying vibration. Drinks in the cup holder either have to be capped or I run the risk of wiping them up eventually. The passenger seat shakes VISIBLY.

It is back in the shop now at another dealer with only 300 miles left on the bumper to bumper and I'm being told that GM knows there is an issue and it relates to the change from a soft to a hard bushing in some part of the vehicle which transfers vibration instead of dampening it.

Another employee at the dealership claims that that run of Nitto Tires has had issues. Needless to say I've witnesses so much dancing around this that I feel like I'm at a ballet.

Sad. Because otherwise I LOVE THIS TRUCK! Enough that I bought my wife an identical model. Which DOESN"T vibrate!

I suspect the warranty will expire and I will be forced to pay once this issue is actually identified and is able to be resolved.

Do any of the trucks do it that doesn't have the rear locking diff

I have a 2014 V6 2wd with the towing package and locking diff . My truck has a slight vib only between 20 and 30 mph . You can also hear it but if you roll both windows down you can't notice it . As I replied earlier in this thread I took it to my local dealer for a oil change and explained the vib issue . They checked it out and said it was normal so to say the least I was disappointed . They don't have that vib tool yet to help locate the area of the issue so they did say to bring it back after they get one and theyll check it out again . So my next oil change I'll probably have them take a look . What's strange about my vib is when under acceleration it doesn't do it or at least you can't feel or hear it at all . But slowing down , coasting or just maintaining speed between 20 and 30mph is when it does it .

Then do not slow down, coast, or maintain speed between 20 and 30 MPH and your problem is solved.

LoL great idea ! You must work for GM [emoji14]

What's funny though is I have learned how to adjust my driving to make it less noticeable . Like slowing down later when coming to a light or when between 20 and 30 mph getting out of vib zone as quick as possible .

Yup Chevy has got me trained [emoji19]

Funny thing is I have a slight vibration between 70-80 and I seem to get my best fuel economy at right about 75 where I notice it the most. Go figure. My first oil change should be coming up soon so we'll see what happens.

Good luck hope they fix it for you . It's strange how our trucks have the same vib issue just varies with the amount of vibration and what speed it does it .Mine is smooth as silk at any speed except for 20 to 30mph . I'm kind of glad it doesn't do it at any freeway speeds but then again it is kind of annoying around town because your constantly in the problem area 20 to 30 .

Yes, it is odd it happens at different speeds. I'm never cruising much between the 20-30 speeds so can't say I've noticed it there. But cruising at 75 i feel it in the gas petal which is annoying and I usually put the cruise on. I guess Chevy has me trained as well....

With mine you mostly only real feel it in the steering wheel all though you can feel it a little on the arm rest but with a rough road it's not noticeable lol .. But the Audible sound is annoying . I'm guessing mine isn't as bad as some is because the problem area is at lower speeds .

Mine vibes at 40 - 50 mph. It occurs during accel and decel. But is more intense during decel.

Right now it can only be felt in the steering wheel. More of a buzzing type vibration.

Started around 300 miles and now just over 1000 miles it has definitely become more intense.

Hopefully GM gets ahead of this soon!

Crazy again how we all notice varying vibrations. Mine is worst accelerating uphill between 70-80 where you can feel the entire truck start to vibrate. Other than that I usually just notice the petal vibration.

When you guys say you feel it in the steering wheel do you feel it on the wheel itself or more so on the center column part where you'd honk the horn. I can always feel a slight vibration if I place my hand on the center part but not the wheel itself. I've paid attention recently while driving other make vehicles and the center steering wheel vibration seems common or normal but I have not notice a gas petal vibration in other makes.

I agree it sure would be nice for GM to get this figured out. I have no idea how hard or easy diagnosing vibrations can be in a modern vehicle but it seems like with today's advancements in technology they'd have done it after 2 years now.

Overall I sure do like my truck a lot though. Here's to hoping it tows good this summer.
