My 2015 2500 Denali HD has a bad vibration also Dealer tried to fix even went as far as to putting a new set of Michelin on ,did not help.Went to several dealerships and drove 2015 2500,s all have same problem had a 2007 2500hd Denali no vibration Truck sucks only problem is I been driving GM products since 71. also headlights are horrible can't see anything at night very unsafe any suggestion

This really stinks. Denali is such a nice truck otherwise. I had my eyes on a new 2500 series GM truck (will not touch anything with the AFM system with a 10 ft pole) but you just confirmed that they have the same problems as the 2014 1500 series. I will just have to wait several years to see if they fix the issues, or go to some other brand, or maybe just keep driving my truck. I do not need this aggravation. If I want vibration, I will buy an old pickup for $ 1000.

Sadly I've joined the list frown.gif

Took delivery 10/18/2014

Traded in a '04 K-2500 Ext.Cab. with 49k, I wanted something that would fit into my garage so I replaced this
with a '14 K-1500 Reg.Cab Short Box WT/1 with the 4.3 V6.

On the test drive there was hardly any gas in it so I was not able to get to a highway speed, four hours later
I noticed the vibration on the way home and thought that it had flat spots on the tires, when I got home I looked
at the production date in the door jamb 8/2014 eek.gif then I thought OK a weight must have fallen off so I drove
it until it had 201 miles on it and had some custom wheels installed. I mentioned this issue to the guy's @ Discount
Tires as they have done everyone of my vehicles for twenty years, when the stock wheels were broken down it
appeared that the proper weights were in place. shortly leaving the same vibration appeared I called my buddies and
they said bring it back. So I thought I'd put a few more miles on it then I got a call from the service dept of the selling
dealer reminding me of the 30 day service follow up that would just take a few moments while I wait so I asked about
this vibration issue and the short amount of time I've had the truck that only has just a tad over 400 miles on it.
I also explained that this was an issue since day one and what I'd done with the wheels. After the remark of " You can't believe
everything you read on web sites " I asked to speak to the Service Manager who asked me to bring the truck in the next morning
and he'd have a vehicle for me to use...Very cool ! this was on Thursday 11/13/2014 did not hear anything until 11/14/2014
@ 4PM I said that I could be there @ 9am Saturday and that I was. They were quite busy so the Assistant Service Manager had my
truck brought up front and asked me to go drive it. 15min later when I finally got to the freeway right @ 69mph same deal mad.gif
went back and we talked to Service Manager and said keep the loaner we'll call you on Monday.

I was surprised to see on my GM Owners site that a forum they have a link to this is a hot issue as well as very upset owners
I also noticed that my 2011 Cadillac DTS has the infamous ignition switch recall...Ahh what has happened to GM doh.gif

Mine has the vibration. I know there is no fix. Should I at least log a ticket with my dealership even though I know they can't fix it?

if you want your money back, yes!

do the required number of repairs for the exact same problem, every state has different numbers of these, then file with BBB for lemon law. if that doesn't work out get a lawyer and file in civil court (they pay the lawyer not you) in about 6-8 months if it goes that far or unless you settle for getting another truck that will end up having vibrations too, you will get your full refund. if you need a different vehicle then the GM trade in buy out isn't a bad option but anyone who uses it to get another truck is just stupid in my opinion, some on here are on their 3rd lemon truck and at some point it has to be enough evidence to make people wise up.

even though 4 out of 5 trucks don't vibrate I don't like those odds and even some trucks bought without vibrations started vibrating after several thousand miles were put on them, then you have to look at the other 30 odd minor things that don't work on these trucks like radios with no reception, crooked mounted beds and bumpers, squeaks rattles and noises everywhere, reduced towing capacities, terrible gas mileage, etc, etc, its just crap quality from bumper to bumper.

Well I have some interesting news to report. I took the truck this weekend to get a load of firewood and I filled the bed to pretty much even with the rails so there was considerable weight back there. The truck drove incredibly smooth! It was like riding on air the entire way home both on the interstate and in town. The smoothness did not vary with speed either. I was shocked and it leads me to think that a lot of the vibration that some of us are feeling is simply due to the stiff suspension and the truck basically bouncing around a lot for every imperfection in the road. You can already feel every tiny crack as you drive down the road so these trucks are sensitive. In my case I think the weight in the bed helped settle the truck down. Anyway this seems like good news. And the truck really did handle impressively well. This thing has been great offroad and now hauling a heavy load. As much as I gripe about the frame rust and the vibration in the steering wheel, this thing has performed well when put to work and I'm happy about that. The fact that the vibration settled down has helped me to start to like this truck again. Hopefully this continues to be the case......

Maybe a softer shock would help? Your issue sounds more like tires IMO. Glad to hear though

2500 miles in; 4.3L 4WD Sierra dbl cab. Now getting vibration for the first time, but it's different than what many of you are witnessing -- I'm having a really harsh rumble occur at 50 mph when the truck goes into AFM/four-cylinder mode. Truck did not used to do this when switching between 6 and 4 cylinders before; there was some change in resonance, yes, but not to the point of discomfort. Wondering if an engine mount might have gone? Anyone have anything similar?

Yes I also had this problem, but i had the 5.3 with only 1500 miles on it. It started at lower speeds on the highway around 65 or so, but over time became much worse up to 75 or so. I had way too many problems with my new 14 double cab 1500, had it in the shop 11 times. I got to know the service guys, and gals at my local dealership, one of the best group of mechanics ive ever met. More than willing to help me out, I think the last amount they told me they had in my truck was around 8k. One mechanic told me that every time he takes off a rear axle cover, the ring and pinion contact is way out of spec. Just wish GM would admit they screwed up, and make it right with you all.

The only vibration I had was after I removed the muffler. My truck would go into V4 in town at very low speeds, I get the drone and vibration. I bought a tune and fixed both. Last week I pulled the tune to ready for service. I put the stock muffler back on no vibration or drone.

Yeah it's definitely tire related I think. Nothing else explains my particular set of symptoms. As for the shocks, I can't stand these Ranchos. I will be putting in Bilstein 4600 HD's as soon as they're released. For the tires, I'm just going to wait until these junk good years wear down and then I'll replace them with either Michelins or BFGoodrich AT's. I'm falling in love with this truck again though so that's kind of awesome!

Adding myself to the list of trucks with vibration issues. I have a 2014 Sierra A/T SLT 5.3L with about 1800 miles on it. It developed a gas pedal / floorboard vibration at around 1000 miles. Mine doesn't seem to have any relation to speed, but rather engine RPM and throttle. I get a sporadic (though becoming more common) pedal vibration most noticeable between 1k and 1250 RPM under light throttle. The vibration comes and goes in severity, but at its worst, it is almost numbing on the foot. It seems like engaging the 4wd in 4 auto makes it more consistently present. I also noticed that under similar conditions (low RPM, light throttle), in cruising and trying to maintain speed on an incline, my truck will surge or pulse in providing power and you can actually see the tach bouncing and it will continue until i let off the throttle or press hard enough to downshift. The vibration is present during this as well. I had the truck at the selling dealer to look at the vibration back around 1000 miles. I got the usual response that they noticed it and then took out a nearly identical Sierra, new on the lot, and it did the same thing. They didn't offer any further help, but said it's operating as designed. I'm debating pursuing this further with the Chevy dealer I had used with my 2008 Silverado. The 5.3/4spd in that truck was much more predictable and smooth at all speeds and throttle--kinda like my Sierra was the first few hundred miles. Anybody have any thoughts / advice in moving forward with this?

I sorta came to the same conclusion this weekend after taking a large load of guns and body armor( and I mean LARGE lol) to and from a gun show. Had me , my brother and his kids in the truck and it felt much better. You can still feel every little crack in the road but this could be due to tires I suspect. I would also hope that GM could fine tune the electric power steering feedback to get rid of the steering wheel "jitters" down the road. Like you said , Im also in a "love, hate, love" relationship with this truck.

Truck is gone, traded it for a 2015 Ram Laramie 4x4 5.7 Hemi with 8 speed. Shifts are perfect, no vibration, no shake, no throttle lag or delay. Ram has come along way and so far I would say quality is superb. Take a Ram for a test drive and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Good luck to everyone.

Edit: only downfall is now my wife wants a Charger or Durango and the shift knob takes a while to get used to.

That's a damn shame, if I was having your problems I do the same. At leased you pull for the right Nascar team, good luck.

It's the rear end if you check the runout you will find it. I checked mine and showed it to the dealer and they say any under 20 thousands is within factory specification. Mine is about 18 thousands..... Lol can't wait to get my new Dodge!
