My boss was pretty mad when I got back 2 hours beyond my 1 hour lunch break. Not much I could do. I actually just got off the phone with another dealership. They again will NOT even look at the issue with my tires/rims not being stock. I don't have the stock ones anymore since I live in an apartment and have no room for them. I offered getting them balanced the day before bringing it in, still not good enough. So I guess that's it. First and Last Gm Truck. Will NOT recommend another. My problem isn't with the truck, it's with the "customer service" you get when investing into the company. The truck could be fixed, lousy reputation and no trust, not so much.

RageMonkey its not the tire and wheels anyway I have had mine in 8 times now they checked all the tires wheels drive-shaft and still have the vibration

Hello again fellow gm enthuseist! 2014 sierra PROFESSIONAL GRADE.

After waiting 4 days for a call back from the "customer service dept" I use that term loosely....... I got the dust off Friday. A very nice lady (really) named Doris talked to me about my "vibratory transport unit". She was shocked and appalled at the lack of "proffessional grade" help I was recieving....What kind of help do Chevy owners get? She really was nice when I first talked to her and the next ie: last time I spoke with her I believe the "nice lady" had been redirected by management. She wished me good luck and told me to have a good weekend. Well bless her heart...............

It has taken me a while but now I,m getting pissed. I have a $40,000.00 turd in the garage that I can,t stand to drive. I,ve heard all or most of the dumb a excuses everyone else has. This morning I filed a lemon law complaint with the BBB.And per one of the earlier post sent a letter to Mary Barras email address. I know that tr84 got some sort of response a couple days after he sent an email but I,m not so sure it,s not just more "sorry you,re experiencing trouble nonsense".

I would like some help reguarding whether or not I should sign on with one of the lemon lawyers or give BBB. a chance 1st? They claim on there sites that the client pays nothing.... A lawyer would not lie would they? YES more sarcasm..... I,m a bad man........I would like to here from others going through the same steps. It would help to share info reguarding what to do and what NOT to do to get through this crap.

My truck is nearly a year old and has 5250 miles on it. The lugs nuts are worn out and the driveshaft has been replaced as well as the tires.

This may very well be the only source of help available! I watch for some suggestions. Thanks and good luck. Shakey----Max

Good luck with that, I filed with the BBB myself after 8 trips to the dealership with no joy the BBB told me the I could go before an arbitration but the fact that it was not a safety issue or had been out of service for long periods of time that it would not be a good outcome and by the way the closest place for arbitration for me was 5 hours away one way. And now GM don't want to talk about it anymore because I filled with BBB Auto Line

New to the site but I have the same problem with my Sierra Crew Cab SLE 4WD that started at about 400 miles so it did not come out that way, and as for as the comments take it back to the dealer they will fix it, the LEMON Law, give it back to the dealer, that is all a crock of you know what, I have had my truck back the dealership 8 times for the same problem a vibration, they have had the factory engineers out three time and looked and worked on it, first time the engineer did a couple of things and said that it was up to factory specs and that was all he could do, I drove it home and before I was a block away I could tell that they did not fix it, when I got home I called the dealer back and told him so he called GM and the next week they sent out the same guy and this time he worked on 5 or 6 other things that he did not work on the first time after telling me they did all they could do the first time. Right there tells you they are lying if there was nothing they could do why come back and work on it again! But after he got done it was just like it was, I will try to list some of the stuff that they said they did, 1) rotated the tires 2) re-torque the wheels 3) balanced the tires 4) balanced the drive shaft 5) shimmed the rear end 6) checked the rear shocks 7) took off dealer installed MUD FLAPS! 8) checked the exhaust system, I know but they did 9) road forced tested the tires twice and replaced two the second time and re-balanced the tires. And I'm sure I have not listed all they have tried, and still I have the same problem, third time the engineer came out he had the regional manager with him and this time they drove my truck and 2 others they had on the lot and said that they are similar to mine and they was not going to do any more to my truck that they had done all they could or would do but if I had any other problems to bring it back. I filed a claim with BBB Auto Line and after all the times back to the dealership with no Joy they said I could go before an Arbitrator but more than likely because this was not a safety issue are it had not been out of services for long periods of time that the outcome would probably not be good. So I know now that after posting this I have as much hope in one of the readers fixing my truck as GM and that is sad that they just don't care anymore. I have been a long time customer of GM cars and trucks owning over 11 GM truck in the past 30 years. P.S. have the dealer buy it back tired that too he said he would buy it back and give me $32,000.00 for the truck that sticker ed for $46,000.00 because "wait for it",,,, because it had a vibrations in it !

Why are you copy and pasting your post over and over again? I've read this exact comment from you twice now. Can we all ask why?

So... I had minor vibration sometimes bad. I bought a low profile toolbox the other day, and have had a ride as smooth as glass, curious if the people with the vibration have a cover, or toolbox on the back? Maybe it's a fluke, but I'm thinking the 80lb toolbox is doing something, cuts down on the wind to the bed? Added weight? Stiffens the bed/frame? Maybe it's all in my head?

Interesting observation, I wonder if trucks with camper shells/stiff bed covers show fewer vibration problems. Your toolbox does act as a stiffener to some extent.

I started a thread http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/165260-have-u-filed-with-bbb-autoline-about-ur-2104-sierrasilverado/

to share info about the BBB Autoline process.

I also started one http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/165259-have-u-had-an-electronic-vibration-analysis-done-to-ur-2014/

to talk about Electronic Vibration Analysis experiences with 2014s.

I have a soft tonneau cover on mine. Before I took it to the dealer for the second time, I rolled it up to see if that changed the vibrations (long shot).......well they were still there. Took it to the dealer for the second time and the service adviser swore up and down it was my cover causing the vibs.....told them to roll it up and take it down the interstate. Guess what???? Vibrations still there! Sometimes I do wonder if it has something to do with the aerodynamics/harmonics all rolled together. When I get to around 65-70 with the windows up, I get that pulsating type sound you get when you have one window down cruising down the interstate.

I have a video that I took this morning on the way to work. Will hopefully have it posted to YouTube soon.

I have a 3rd appointment tomorrow with the dealer tomorrow. They told me that GM is sending some sort of "Vibration Analysis Tool" to help locate the vibrations. This should be interesting..........still doubtful they will find the source or the fix based on what I have read here.

Just want to metion something one could check and compare trucks.

My truck was bought back, but during the engineer's attempts to solve my vibration issues, I heard them over talking...they did not know I was there listening.

I heard them mention that they know of some trucks were the cross member supports the tranny ...welded part that it was indexed wrong...not where it should be off from frame plant. Someone should plum line the crossmember and check position to side, front, back to frame end and compare other trucks owner's trucks measurements with a good know vibration free truck.

Just saying.

In response to post by Disapointed gmc.

You say that after I file a lemon claim with BBB that gm won,t talk with me? Not to be a wise guy but they have not said or done anything productive as of yet. How will I know if I make things worse? I,m still on the edge about using a lemon law attorney. They claim to be paid by the manufacturer when and if they win the case. How would that work when and if gm wanted to settle with a buy back or a trade in deal? The lawyer would want to be paid. And rightfully so. All I ever wanted in the 1st place was to get what I paid for! A truck free of vibrations......Now I,m sick of the company and the truck. It,s a shame because it,s otherwise a nice truck.

Every now and then someone stumbles across this thread (before buying a truck) and actually say something like "I,m not sure if I should buy a gm truck now or not" ARE THEY F............GOOFY OR WHAT? I would would be happy to wash my hands but not to sure if I would consider another possible round of "lemon truck and service dept. jerk around"

I suppose it,s the chicken and egg story. Can,t get anybody,s attention that can actually do something so you tke the next steps and run the risk of no help just the " go to court/hearing route". A couple of proud owners on the forum began proceedings and apparently were contacted by gm (gma) and by dropping there case were able to come to agreements of one kind or another.

I,m not so confident in the BBB course but I thought what difference would a few days make? I,m still looking at the different attorneys that specialize in "the unfortunate vehicle shoppers". I always want to wash my hands afterwards?????

Disapointed gmc : hope you will keep us posted. I don,t want to waste any more time than needed but do want to give the BBB a chance. How long did you try with them before giving up on them? Thanks Still SHAKEY in NC

In some states you don't need to hire an attorney. I filed a lemon law request in Washington State about 20 years ago. At the time the process basically went like this;

After you have given the manufacture 3 attempts to repair a safety related malfunction and 4 attempts for non-safety malfunctions you can file a request for "lemon law" thru the district attorney's office. First you had to send a request to the manufacture requesting "buy back or replacement" and allow them 45 days to respond. If the manufacture did not respond or decided that your request was not justified, then the district attorney's office would assign a non- bias mechanic to exam the vehicle. If the mechanic determined that the condition still exist the district attorney's office would make the manufacture honor your request for "buyback or replacement".

who has access to a dyno? someone get it up to 65-75 and see if it still vibrates.
