Well, I thought I was one of the vibrationless 2014's but apparently not. 850mi on the odometer and the 75mph shake/vibration in the seat has gotten fairly intense. Before making an appointment, I called the GM Customer Care line (1-866-790-5600) and had a case number created to document my repair history. Hopefully we get somewhere meaningful. So all of you guys having shaking, it's not limited to a specific gear ratio, cab config, rear end or engine because I have the 5.3/CC/std box/3.73 gear ratio max tow pkg, which has a 9.76" rear end vs 9.5". It also has an additional leaf spring in the rear. And I've got the shakes.

More to come.

It's back, this didn't last very long, last night on my way home I got my full blown vibration back in my floorboards and accelerator pedal. Oh well, it seemed to work for a few days anyway. I am tired of this crap, I hope when I get my 2015 it doesn't develope any shakes or vibrations. It's very freak'n annoying........

Don't be surprised. GM hasn't discovered the problem. I'm sure you're aware that parts from 14 will be carried over to 15 as they will be the same. So then for "example" lets say it's something in the tranny and being GM hasn't found the source yet to pull the defective item from inventory or stop the mfg process, the parts will float over to the 15 models. Unless the problem is found, shake and bake may be here for sometime.

Well, got my truck back after visit #4. New shaft, and see shims inbetween my leafsprings. Guess to change the shaft angle. Also replaced a tire that had a,road force of 30. Took it for a test drive and seem to be better. Not fixed but better. Almost livable. Live an hour away and about 45 minutes into the drive, presto, vibes are back.not a complete constant like before, more like coming and going waves. Instead of putting my hand through my nice my link radio screen, i pulled over and took a deep breath. When getting back on the highway i launched pretty hard and the rear end shuddered bad. Like i had a subwoofer in my bed. Hit the accelerater hard again and it repeated. Stop signs, red lights, everytime. Not only that, i can feel the shaft at all speeds now. At this point, i wish they wouldnt have fixed that cold weather idling issue.

The only answer I can provide at this point is; 6.2L with 8 speed.

I hope you are right! I literally had a build sheet for a 2015 Silverado LTZ 4WD (6.2L/8 Speed/Max Trailering Package) created to place an order with my local dealer and stumbled on this forum while researching reliability feedback. Needless to say, my purchase intent has come to a screeching halt. I'm now watching this forum daily, waiting for feedback on the 2015s with the 6.2L option. Or the release of the new Ford F-150, whichever comes first.

Btw, I recently sold my 2007 GMC Denali XL that was mechanically flawless (125,000 miles). And I have a 2010 Camaro SS. Both with the 6.2L, so I am a real fan of that motor. But I've had good luck with Fords in the past as well, most recently a 2004 Excursion (Diesel), so I'm not opposed to buying Ford again.

Dealer is going to replace the harmonic balancer Wednesday. Looked at another trucks balancer and mine for sure had more of a wobble. Not sure this will be the "Fix" but we shall see. Can't hurt.... Next will be taking the truck to a driveshaft shop.

On replacing the oem wheels, did you locate to the same stud and wheel stud hole as when you removed. If not, you may have accidently help balance the rotors/wheels/tires etc.. with the new wheel position on the rotor.???

My wheels/tires are high speed balanced on the truck with a strobe. I know when I remove my wheels I have to mark the one stud to one wheel stud hole so to return the wheel on the proper stud location. If not the truck is way out on tire balance. So you may have just hit a sweet spot when replacing the wheels???

That is possible but to answer your question no I did not locate the same wheel stud to wheel stud hole. I only replaced the wheels per corner they way they were removed. I still have no vibration. It's weird I had a pretty serious vibration. I'm waiting for it to come back. Can't see how it could just go away.

Do you own one of these? I assume so based on your user name. If so please share your impressions so far!

I'd really like to know if the 2015s are affected by this issue.

Another thing about my vibration going away is that if at all possible...I have run only E85 the last two fill ups on my truck. It's huge difference in power. To me it feels like when you throw bolt-ons (headers, intake, exhaust)'at it but all you did was switch fuels.

My truck is a LT but I have the factory aluminum 17" wheels on it with the Bridgestone duelers as I optioned not for the 20's as I would go aftermarket in the future I thought.

I am about to leave here soon to go on another 100 mile freeway trip. I'll report back if my vibrations were present at all. I will be on a different freeway that is older just to compare.

No I do not own one, yet. GM offered me trade in assistance to offset the depreciation of my 14 so I could trade it in for a 15. It's currently on order. I couldn't refuse because I'm not losing anything by doing the deal other than my time. If the 15 developes the same problems then, well, I don't know what's next...... Ford, Ram? Who knows.
