You should have taken the dealers deal. I just went through BBB. I was given MSRP trade and pay the difference if the new one was more money. no deduction for mileage. rebate cannot be applied. I had 4000 miles on mine when I gave it back. I was glad for this deal after seeing how much loss there was if I tried to trade it on something else.

Do you still pay tax on the new vehicle ?

I filed with BBB becouse GM and my GMC dealer keep giving me the run around. We will see what happens from here. Next move will be lemon law lawyer. 1 month old and 1300 miles now. GM and Dealer do not care what you say, they say it will take time to figure this out and hope you go away. But guess what, Nope!!!!

I'm going through the BBB now also. I'm waiting to hear back from them keep us informed

These trucks drop in value real quick. My MSRP was $51665 and the current KBB with 4900 miles is from $39000 - $41000.

But lets be real.. Nobody pays close to MSRP. I paid $10k under MSRP.. KBB is more than what I purchased mine for.

I didn't pay 10K under MSRP, I paid $46000 so that's a $6000 loss and the truck only has 5000 miles on it. Either way it shows you that the markup on these trucks is ridiculous.

Oh by the way try getting a dealer to offer $40000 trade in for your truck.

With all the incentives and truck month you can probably buy a 14 like mine new for around $42000 right now.

I agree that the markup is ridiculous. I got a trade in offer of $31k which would be about a $2k loss in the 1 month I have had the truck. Did not take it though, just trying to see what I could get. It was through CarMax btw.

So I went to the dealer last week to see what kind of deal they would work for me. Manager of after sales said pay the difference in MSRP for a 2500 duramax minus $1000 customer satisfaction money.. I said give me an extended warranty and/or 0 percent and I will sign the papers... Apparently they didnt think my vibration problems along with the other problems ive had totaling 35 days in the shop were serious and they said no so I filed with the BBB. Today someone from GM calls after the BBB complaint and offers me a WORSE deal.. difference between 105% of msrp for my truck MINUS milage which works out to be almost the MSRP for my truck. So now they want me to pay the difference and arent giving me the 1000.00. What incentive do I have to NOT file a lemon law suit. Cant believe it.

Was it the District Manager After-Sales or the Dealership Manager of sales? If you talked directly to the person, it probably wasn't the DMA. Usually you have to go thru the service manager to get to the DMA and normally you don't get to personally communicate with this person. They don't want a million people contacting them all the time, so their contact info is usually not passed out to customers.

This is getting worse, WTF GM do the right thing get this person into a truck that doesn't shake, or give them their money back!

I went through this crap, and got my money back, and left the GM brand.

My coworkers thar drive new Fords laughed at me! I left my loyalties for GM after they stoped helping me, and continued to lie to me. This was honestly hard for me as I am was a loyal GM customer, but now I bought the ecodiesel and have been greatly satisfied after a few days with even better mileage, torque 420Lb, and tow numbers.

No shame in following your mind, leaving your personal feeling aside while making a big purchase is a wise decision.

Best of luck

When the DMA did my offer he gave me the difference between the current trade in value (not what's in a book but what a dealership would actually give me) and the amount I paid. I didn't ask for anything, I was about to trade it in on a ford or dodge and then I got the call so I didn't even hesitate, got nothing to lose except time. If my 2015 ends up having the same issues, it's going bye bye and will sit on a ford, dodge, toyota, or nissan lot.

Edit: my patients is already worn about as thin as it can...................

KBB is a bit higher, I must have been looking at NADA. Also the sell it yourself and trade in values are usually a couple grand different.

They deff. Are different. I'm taking my trade and leaving GM for good. Never in my life have I had such horrible

Service with a new truck. I had better service from joe shmo the mechanic

It was the district manager of after sales. The general manager and service manager had been passing the information to me on the deal. If i known it was going to be this much of a headache I would have just taken the deal.. but right now my truck is in the shop again for the final repair attempt and the GM engineer has had it for two days. Not sure if their able to fix it or not. I should just email the DMA (I have her information) and see if she will give me the same deal but Im thinking of getting my money back and leaving GM just because of the way I have been treated.

Did someone from GM call you and offer this?

You think they would figure out a fix, instead of buying back all these trucks. All they have to do is take one that the dealer couldn't fix and go through it top to bottom and find the culprit. Guess that makes too much sense.

I guess they are making enough money on them that they don't care. We just see what people on this forum are doing. Imagine the other 100rds of thousand people who will never complain about it, or hardly ever bring their vehicle to a dealership except for breakdowns and oil changes.
