My truck 2nd one mind you has 1700 miles on it and it shakes. Cc Lt fully loaded. KBB value is 28k. Ford dealer offered me 25k today as trade in. Unbelievable

These trucks drop in value real quick. My MSRP was $51665 and the current KBB with 4900 miles is from $39000 - $41000.

I don't trust KBB anymore as there estimates for selling to a Private party are always too close to the what the dealer trader in will be. When I sell a car on AutoTrader, I will see how much the same vehicle is advertised as used from dealers. People are willing to pay that price as they know real value of the car. KBB used to be more reliable, in my opinion, the car companies and KBB are working together. I just did KBB on my 2014 Sierra Denali with 2,000 miles on it, the estimate was $42K. give me a break. That reminds me, I need to get GM to buy this truck sooner than later.

Anyone tried Black Book? That's supposed to be the newest thing that's more reliable than Kelly Blue Book. I don't know too much about it as I just recently found out about it.

I tried to use black book the other day but it wanted me to pay for a subscription to use it

nada has sucked for a long time and kbb wasn't much better but had higher values for things so that's why most people used it as a reference.

I used a dealers "value your trade in" on my truck but they didn't have a 2014 option so I used the 2013 and the msrp price for my truck was $30,770 and they said a 2013 model with 1200 miles was valued at $18,000 if I traded it in. now that's a 2013 price but I bet the 2014 wouldn't fetch more then maybe $1,000 more then that.

if anyone has or knows of a link to use an accurate "free" car valuation calculator please share since im pretty sure im going to seriously be looking at used trucks if I can get my buy back so I want to know the fair values on them.

What about TrueCar.com?

they only give prices on new vehicles so you get the best deal.

if you select find used cars, they just send you to a list of cars for sale but there is no option to get correct values for those

I filed with BBB becouse GM and my GMC dealer keep giving me the run around. We will see what happens from here. Next move will be lemon law lawyer. 1 month old and 1300 miles now. GM and Dealer do not care what you say, they say it will take time to figure this out and hope you go away. But guess what, Nope!!!!

So I went to the dealer last week to see what kind of deal they would work for me. Manager of after sales said pay the difference in MSRP for a 2500 duramax minus $1000 customer satisfaction money.. I said give me an extended warranty and/or 0 percent and I will sign the papers... Apparently they didnt think my vibration problems along with the other problems ive had totaling 35 days in the shop were serious and they said no so I filed with the BBB. Today someone from GM calls after the BBB complaint and offers me a WORSE deal.. difference between 105% of msrp for my truck MINUS milage which works out to be almost the MSRP for my truck. So now they want me to pay the difference and arent giving me the 1000.00. What incentive do I have to NOT file a lemon law suit. Cant believe it.

I dont think it matters, its up to the district manager of after sales for that dealership.. my dealership called me after they found out I filed the BBB complaint and said the DM said the deal is off the table since thier is a complaint at the BBB..So now I am dealing with someone from GM resolution dispute office and thats what they offered me

Gm has big problems....!

Can you imagine how many others out there who have this problem but haven't joined a forum, and think their truck is the only one with issues.

With the new lower tow ratings and radio, seat, rust, tranny shift issues, and vibrations this truck has been a complete failure to date, good looking truck but troubles that may lead into failures.

The part I can't figure out is GM must know the problem by now, and what or why is stopping them from implementing a fix.

Could it be the truck would be too costlyto fix now.

I now have a dodge ecodiesel, and it has been a great truck mechanically so far this 8 speed shifts so smooth, comfy seat no movement, radio keeps a signal with no loss, no vibrations, with certified tow numbers, and 420lb

of torque while sipping fuel.

I like the look of the Sierra better, but this Ram has my blessing after GM bought my truck back.

Guess what tires are on the Ram... Goodyear SRA wranglers 20" no vibrations at 39 psi recommended.

Boys and girls don't wait for this mess to sort it self out or you will loose your buy back (mileage), history will prove the fix will come, but not for us that bought early.
