Laura M must be the equivalent of our disappearing Jennifer here on the GM forum. Lucky Chevy folks still have someone from corporate that still gives a damn about customer service. It appears GM And Jennifer have gone AWOL.

Drove to pick up my trifold soft tonneau. Smooth ride there. Installed tonneau, drove home, noticed a rear end vibration that wasn't there before. Thought about it while I looked out my review mirror and saw the wind flapping on the tonneau. Pulled over, folded the cover open and continued on my way. Vibration free. Wtf

Ugggh....and tonight my back up camera stopped working.

Same here. My vibration has also been changing. Now when I let off the gas, the wheel vibrates bad. I'm still waiting on an answer from my attorney. My next truck will be a Ram. GM has serious issues now and I don't want any part of this company right now.

Shudder, clunk, vibration,1-2-3-4 shift issues, and now unwanted neutral is all signs of lock up torque converter and pump issues.

I am still putting my money on this as the main culprit in this ongoing saga. The software update for the unwanted neutral is indeed for the transmission control module, by tweaking the software to demand better lock-up of the torque converter or tweaking the shift pressure to keep it in gear when engine rpm is low and torque demand is high, might be signs that the pump is loosing pressure (leaking internally) or faulty pump.

I have compiled all the info here, vibration, at 40-50mph, vibration starting around 70mph, 1-2 shift delay, vibration at idle, changing vibration with head wind and weather temp swings, and now unwanted neutral issue.

How is all this related to tires, or suspension!

Crack in pump or torque converter, or internal leaks matches these issues.

All our current transmission rely on electrical pulse to shift gears now, and pump provides the pressure to engauge and release lock up, and brakes electronically release pressure from pump when applied, some folks here also complained about transmission slow to release when braking?

GM knows the truth, and the fix is in the removal of the transmission's internal parts in my humble opinion.

I think you are right...my truck just feels like it is towing or under a load all the time with the transmission and especially in the wind.

The "shifting to neutral" recall is only for 4x4 trucks. It's the transfer case and has nothing to do with the transmission.

I do belive this is a trans issue also. If you think about it, nobody that has had this specific issue has been successfully repaired with a tire, rear end, or drive shaft fix / replace. Mine shakes at it's worst when in cruise control, which would point to a trans pump pehaps? Or torque converter? I dont wish to be a mechanic or engineer...I simply want to drive my truck and not think about stuff like this. GM has e-mailed me back and said they're gathering more info and talking to the dealer and that I'll hear from them soon. Lets see what they'll do, I hope they can restore my faith here and get us all fixed up so we can all get some resolution and start enjoying our new trucks.

TCM is being updated. That is transmission control module, this is the brains for the transmission.

I don't trust what is told to the owner from GM....remember Toyota no hardware/software issue there until the dead were counted by lawyers.

When I took my truck in for the recall on the relocation of the coolant line they also updated the TCM and the ECM. I didn't realize that was a required recall. After they did that my vibration was 10 fold worse. It was tolerable before the reprogramming. My truck has been in for 2 weeks while waiting for and now installation of my new ring and pinion. Getting close to my threshold of toleration. Remember, this is my 2nd truck. About ready to just ask for my money back and go look at Ram or Ford. Getting damn ridiculous. Edited by Chappy 1901
