Just as the title states I decided to go with the Cooper STT. Searched for a long time for the cheapest price and Treaddepot.com seemed to be the way to go. I had them shipped to my house for $956 and my local small town Shell gas station mounted and balanced for $60 total. So far the tires seem to have pretty good road manners and I like the hum they give off. I'll keep you all posted for tire wear at my rotation intervals. Super excited on how the truck looks now!!!

Looks good! You should be happy with those tires!

They're similar to the Toyo MT's, just the pattern is reveresed?

Thanks bud! Yeah they are pretty much the same as your Toyo MT's but a lot cheaper so I thought I would try them out. Two of my buddies have the Toyo's and love them and I have always had good luck with Coopers so hopefully they hold up well.

Looking good, enjoy!

Thanks! It is getting there, really love this HD and it is wild how with just a torsion crank and 285's it sits right at or taller than my buddy's 1500 with a four inch suspension and 33x12.5's.

I was wondering dirtfan21. What is the actual tape measure height on your cooper stt? I ask because I recently found that a true 33 inch 285 rubs on my 1500hd and I was not wanting to crank on the bars any farther than they are. I know coopers site say they are a 33 but I know some tires run different, for example my current 285 wild countrys only measure a lil over 32.5 tall. Thanks!

I wish I could give you an exact number but I've had them on for about 3K now and it would most likely read shorter than the day I bought them. I can tell you that wiith my truck leveled and on stock wheels I rubbed the rear and had to pull back the wheel well a touch. I will say that these tires seem really tall and not super wide, I believe the 33 height number.

Thanks for the reply dirt fan. Looking like I will have to go with the 275/70r17 bfg at. The tire I tried was a yok at-s according to there site it measures 33.1 and it was a true measurement for sure, it rubbed the back of the driver front inner fender. Plus I was thinking that shorter tire might not hurt since my 1500hd has a 3.73 gear and not the 4.10 it's big brother has. I maybe thinking to hard to

Just curious to see how your tires are holding up now? I just ordered the same set, Cooper STT in a 285/70/17. I know a lot of guys who have had great luck with tread life and tread wear with these tires. I'm told the key is to rotate them every 5k or so. Just wondered how yours are doing? Look great on your truck too by the way.
