2014+ Gas Mileage (MPG) Topic

Recommended Posts

Those seem a little low, I get that even when I'm playing around. Most of it depends how much you are actually "stopped" in stop and go traffic. I noticed the sweet spot in my truck seems to be 45mph for gas mileage.

Another note, I bet wheel size and gear ratio can make a big difference. I have 3.08's and the 18" wheels, those with 20" or 22" inch wheels will have a higher rotational mass, which will decrease mileage in town especially.

I appearently don't have a 25-mile average screen. All I can find is the average mpg on the tripometer screen. Is the best 25-mile screen only on specific models?

you have to go into the settings.scroll through the pages.. its initialy not checked as a viewed page. Then once on that page you have a couple selections I think 25 mile 50 mile 100 mile and 400 mile..

I go to a dealer 45 min from home for service on our car, I play stupid with them they think all I drive is an equinox. The car was in for oil change 4 days ago, I decided to troll a salesman. Took an SLT for test drive, he came along. Of course I got the whole "these new

Trucks are light years ahead of dodge or ford" then the salesman proceeded to tell me his gets 31mpg on the highway and that it pulled almost as good as a diesel LOLOLOLOL

I was like "oh wow!! That's awesome, it sure does feel powerful!!! I like the v6, I mean v8 sound!!" :)

He tried to get me too look into trading my car for a 14' lol I was like "no, I think I'm gonna wait till they get 50mpg " Hahahah

The truck I drove had 300km on it it averaged about 17mpg from what I saw on the DIC...

Wow, what an idiot. The last salesman I dealt with wasn't too bad actually. He almost knew as much about the truck as I did.

Ive got several different numbers.. At 65mph average Ive gotten up to 24.2mpg.. at 75mph ive goten up to 22.1mpg... Average with City Driving im at 21.2 i believe... Life of the Truck, and I put a tank of E85 just for fun I am down to 18.1mpg... I can feel the difference in Power with the E85... but honestly the MPG dropps by almost 4mpg... so I think i will stick with 100% 87 or higher...
