ktreece
I have been very pleased with my MPG in my Denali 6.2 (4x4 but running in of course 2wd). I currently have 670 miles on it. This screen shot is on winding roads and hilly too. I am very impressed. My 400 mile average is 19.
bladz1454
I'm at 1645 miles with lifetime MPG at 15. I get like 11 city and 19 highway with about 50/50 mixed driving. Not going to lie though, I am optimistic about future mileage because at like 800 miles my lifetime MPG was 12 and it's only getting better despite hills/snow/and winter blend gas. I'm hoping by like 2500 miles to be getting 17 blended MPG (winter blend) and like 18-19 blended MPG (summer blend).
bladz1454
Ok, my second fuel tank is about done...lasted about 3 days. Right now I have a quarter tank of gas left and I have driven 224 miles. This is what I have noticed about my truck. 1. The truck definitely FEELS like it has no real power 2. I have to stay in the gas pedal to maintain speed. 3. If I let off of the gas and try to just "coast" my truck instantly starts slowing down as if I were slightly breaking even when im going down hill. 4. To get up to speed on the Highway I really have to get on to the gas and hold it there other wise I will go from 70 to 60 with in 3-5 sec. This is the first actual pick up I have ever owned however, I have owned a Suburban since 2006 (recently traded for a 2010) but they both maintain their speeds a lot better. Not sure what to think... I complete agree with the highway comment. I need to constantly keep my foot on the gas to maintain speed which is annoying as hell on the highway. I don't like cruise control because of all the hills here and it actually makes my mileage worse due to the hills so screw it. klrrdr
My new 5.3 is about 16.8 I was happy when I broke 17.1 on a 50 mile stretch of hiway with the cruise on.
blckthree
My lifetime average from the Onstar app is 20mpg for 5500 miles. More in town driving here lately and the average is down near 17.5 lately. Mike

Shahar
For the record I have seen no change in mileage and I have had all the ECM/TCM/BCM updates completed. My gallery has DIC photos of mileage. Right now I'm at 12,500 miles and still consistently getting 20mpg with 34" tires. I usually go about 450-500 miles/tank. My best tanks have been 20-22mpg on highway trips at 75, though I have seen 24mpg at lower speeds (photos in my gallery). Hand calculations are generally within 0.5 mpg of the DIC display. The stock trucks I test drove were showing about 2mpg higher than my truck with oversize tires. And yes, I have a Hypertech so my figures are corrected for the tires. Daniel, How do you get to that "average/ best" screen in the DIC? finn5033
Hello all, I am new here and apologize if this has been covered already. I have done a lot of searching and couldn't find anything on this. I am wondering if anyone here can share what kind of mpg they are getting with the V6 in their new trucks. I am going to be buying a new truck next year and right now I am going to go with the truck that nets me the best mpg so I can ditch the commuter car and use it as my daily driver. I currently own a 2011 silverado with the 5.3 but this v6 has plenty of power and towing capability for what I need. I am also considering the new colorado but I need to check it out in march at the car show before I will know if i like it or not. So anyone who can share what they are getting and in what model truck would be appreciated. Thank you Edited December 20, 2013 by finn5033
Imcrazy
I have a '14 Sierra Double Cab 4x4 w/ the 4.3L. I only have about 1800 miles on it so far. I get about 17-19 in the city / suburban-rural driving, 21-24 mpg hwy. It seems to be improving a little bit and if I kick it in 4x4 I lose about 2-3 mpg in the city, I've not used the 4x4 on the hwy enough yet to comment on that aspect but I did do a 300 mile round trip and got 22.5 mpg two days after I bought the truck. I do wish I had the $$ for the 5.3 as it only knocks down the city rating 1 mpg in 4x4. However the v6 has the power just have to put the hammer down a little further than I'm used to at times/
DanielAcosta
Daniel, How do you get to that "average/ best" screen in the DIC? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It's one of the pages in the info menu. If yours isn't there, try going to settings on the DIC to enable it.
