Here's my 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 "project" truck, Bedrock. Form with function. It's my daily driver. Nothing fancy…best aftermarket additions: rear disc brake conversion and dual-battery upgrade. Front leveling kit cleared way for the LT285/70R17s.

Looks great. I bet it runs just as well if not better. I wish I could have afforded a truck newer than an 03, however, I love my 2500HD. It is by far my favorite truck. And I drove an 07 classic 1500 off the lot with 5 miles on it.

Made a few more changes to my Sierra 1500 over the last few months. Nothing radical. Still staying very conservative. Changed out the winch for a Warn Zeon and Transformer mounting kit and added Rigid Industries LED driving and backup/flood lights. Added A.R.E. topper with their Pickup Vault slide-out drawers in back. Been testing Cooper's Destination STT mud tires on my truck, too. Function, function, function.

Here's a photoshop collage I did of the new A.R.E. Pickup Vault in my truck..and a snapshot of it as it sits now. Taking the mud tires off made it a lot more plain looking--but upped my fuel econ about 2mpg….so trade-off for now is worth it.
