K2 Intellilink/MyLink with iPhone

Recommended Posts

I upgraded to iOS 7 and now my Bluetooth audio is all messed up. Music won't play automatically and when I do get it going I can't skip to the next song. I press the skip buttons on the steering wheel and in the screen and nothing happens. Not happy about this and GM needs to do something ASAP. I also tried resetting the phone and resetting the Bluetooth pairing.

Is it music from your mp3s on the phone or streaming from an app like Slacker?

Hello,

I am sorry to learn that you are experiencing an issue with your Bluetooth after you updated iOS 7 on your phone. If you have not contact Infotainment General Support they are a great source for all the questions you may have with the technology in your vehicle. Their number is 855-478-7767.

Hope this helps,

I just tried the music on my iPhone 5 with iOS7. I had the same issue - it doesn't change the song using the steering wheel controls or previous/next buttons on the radio. I tried pressing the previous/next buttons on the lock screen of the phone and also in the new control center of the phone and they didn't work either, When I unlocked the phone, the previous/next buttons in the music app worked though.

I just went to my phone now (not connected to the truck) and started playing a song. I had the same issue - the previous/next buttons on the lock screen and in the control center didn't do anything. I had to unlock the phone. That makes me think this is an Apple issue.

You got a problem with your phone. Try rebooting it. I just tested everything you just mentioned and it all works fine for me on my iPhone 5s. Playing Local music in my phone. Truck Can skip with steering wheel controls, display on truck can skip, & phone while locked can skip. No issues what so ever.

Try reboot, if that doesn't work, reinstall.

Was just rebooting when you posted and that did correct the issue. I assume it'll work in the truck as well but I'm too lazy to go out and test it right now. I just rebooted yesterday, too. This brings me back to the days of the Blackberry Storm that had to be rebooted nightly to run right :banghead:

Hopefully a reboot will do the trick for the OP as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. iOS is solid. The issue right now is they changed so much with ios7 that the actual apps need to update themselves to be 100% stable and not cause issues for the OS.

Which is happening daily right now. Everyone has been updating their apps since the OS release last Wednesday.
