carpet liner wheelhouse liners

GM is battling road noise by using a wheelhouse liner with carpet on the outside. Pretty cool idea!

Not the pioneers by any means, but it works. I was just doing an oil change and tire rotation on our 10' Mazda 6. I noticed they have carpet lined wells too!

I lined the entire floor of my truck with Peel n Seal from Lowes. I don't hear any Road noise now.

This idea has been in the agricultural industry for years as a way to quiet tractor and harvester cabs. I wonder if the auto industry will also follow with the use of compressed corn fiber also like the Agricultural Industry.

I could certainly see what would have formerly been made out of fibreglass could be made out of corn or cane fibre!

Maybe they will have to change the name of a Chevrolet icon to Cornvette! ahaaha
