Americans do not know WHY we celebrate Independence Day?

Is he switching up 1776 and 1976 on purpose? Because I know my history!

 

Yup, filmed in CA (where I live). Very sad and funny, the same guy did a few other vids on Memorail day and a few others. But i wonder if he purposly choose stupid looking people, or just young people who don't work, don't pay taxes (if much), or don't have any bills.

 

And I'm 19 and work full time, pay taxes, and vote. But I don't have bills because my truck is payed off

Sadly, much like the Roman empire we have grown laxadazical and further out of touch with reality. I had a guy ask me about December 7th last year. I asked him what was it that he thought had happened on that date? He told me that was when the Italians bombed Pearl Harbor! At least he had it half right. We all enjoy the freedoms that people fought and died for so long ago and continue to enjoy them today, and men and women are still standing in harms way to defend that. Pity so many are really clueless as they go merrily on with their lives in their own little bubble. I am going to stop now before I really get rolling, sad, just plain sad.
