2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Recommended Posts

Just an update...

Dealer is still waiting for parts...

Approaching the 1 month mark since I dropped it off at the dealer...

Man, I think at this point you can argue that payments on your truck need to start getting waved. Or even contact a lawyer which specializes in lemon laws, being a month without your truck is a long time.

Got my truck back.

However there was over 100 miles added to the odometer. Does that seem a bit excessive? How long was that test drive???

I am in awe of the terrible service I am getting at the GMC dealer right now. I scheduled a service appointment for recalls, transmission issues etc. and they have no loaner truck to give me. I need a truck to do my job and this is absolutely unacceptable. I have no idea what to do when the dealership has no answers. Someone needs to make this right!

Update. They have gotten me a loaner....Ford F150 XLT

If you don't mind posting what GM dealer is this? They seem to have horrible customer service. When I had to go in a few months ago to get 2 recalls addressed they called me and scheduled a day and loaner for me. Dropped it off on the way to go and was on my way out in fifteen minutes. They did keep my truck for two days but they gave loaned me an exact same SLE Crew Cab, so I didn't mind.

So I am making payments on a 50k Truck and driving a 30k one while my factory recalls and other issues are being serviced. I'm not happy about this and I will definitely be telling my 15k plus followers on twitter about it of this situation is not resolved soon.

Must be they are having so many service issues with this year/make/model of truck that all of their loaners are out. Here is the response I got from GM customer service:

We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this experience may have caused you. Our dealers work to offer the customers

with GM vehicles while their's is being serviced. Occasionally, the supply becomes depleted and an alternative is

used to meet the need. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us again. Hopefully you are reunited

with your Sierra soon. Have a great weekend! ^MW

Oh well, thinking I will just take my truck over to the Ford lot after I get it fixed. After all that's what they gave me to make amends for their $50K truck having issues at 7,500 miles. Unreal.

Probably just what enterprise or Avis had available.

Atleast they got you a truck. They gave me terrain!

They've had my truck for 5 days for the "clunk" and have me driving a Malibu.

Great news-not the fact you have a problem but that a dealer is actually trying to do something. All I get from my dealer is that it's normal and they all do it. GM issued a bulletin addressing the Clunk as normal so it must be widespread. Please keep us updated on your vehicle.

Update: They've had my truck for 6 days for the "clunk" that both the service advisor and mechanic heard/felt. When they finally got around to looking at the truck and put it on the lift they called me back and said it wasn't doing it anymore. I told them it doesn't happen all the time. I also reminded them that they felt it and both said at the time that it wasn't normal. He asked that I leave it with them longer so they can try and duplicate it again. Oh boy!
