2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

I posted in the recall thread:

 

I messaged Amber on here last night to check my VIN, she said that nothing came back for my truck.

 

I called my local dealership today, and they listed four things I
needed to come in for: AFM, BCM, rear window parts replacement (which I
already did before the TSB came out, so I'm not sure I still need it),
and the more recent fire hazard recall. My truck was built 5/13.

 

Anyways, I have an appointment to get it all fixed on Friday.

This is what happened to me a few weeks ago. Got the same warning lights and completely lost my power steering. Dealership replaced the PS motor. On the way back from lunch today I started the truck and the power steering assist warning came on again.

GM is improving everything they're doing.

 

Yes, they constantly delete standard equipment, use more of cheap Chinese made parts, soften the suspension to make trucks ride like cars, introduce more optional gadgets and packages, and above all raise the sticker prices to astronomical levels. What's not to like?

For those complaining about those complaining about the knobs being illuminated. .the truck was advertised as having them plain and simple. .its in the brochures, its in ALL advertising and its in the "getting to know your silverado" manual. . GM MESSED UP AND SHOULD FIX IT!.. With all the issues this truck has had and continues to experience I WISH I HAD KEPT MY 08 DENALI... i'm already tired of driving this truck and wander what's going to break or be recalled everytime I start it... seat creaks do to cheap leather and plastic rubbing.. have some weird "sun roof open kind of wind noise" or drive train vibration causing some sort of mono tone sound. There is a clunk in drive train somewhere when accelerating from stop. Radio and climate illumination. . Afm, bcm, ecm updates back window... seat... dash plastic next to windshield warps when its cold.... I've got hot wheels from dollar tree made with stronger metal than they used for the "truck bed" I WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS BUY THIS TRUCK AGAIN.... And as far as the GM customer service on here... more of a false upeasement seems like to me..

I absolutely agree that this truck is not reliable. I have over 8300 miles on mine and I realize that the day when the truck is out of warranty is fast approaching and this truck will cost me a fortune to maintain! My wife has told me to sell it but I'm waiting a few more months just in case things settle down. I also agree with the Blue LED thing. They should fix them as they were advertised everywhere. For those who don't think they are important, then why did GM spend millions of dollars focusing on the LEDs in advertising?

Bravo, this sums it up. I canned my truck. I still get email updates and watch this forum out of pure curiosity.

Got my recall for the fire risk and TSB for the rear slider done today. On top of that ,they readjusted the sunroof glass .it was out of the alignment..

I hate to say it again, but quality still remains job number 36 at GM. Making record profits being the steady number one of course.

put it in perspective before you get carried away.... they are making over 1,000 of these truck each day.... and mine has been fine.

How the heck do they manage to misalign sunroof glass? I had quite a few vehicles with power sunroofs but never saw a misaligned glass panel on any of them.

One corner of the glass wasn't flush with the roof and way too low,which cause the water to sit there when it rain ..

Just got my fire hazard recall done today....and the dealer checked my Rancho rear shocks because of noise and leaking...ordered some new ones and will be next week for me to take in and get them replaced under warranty...btw, asked him if he'd had any complaints on the shake/vibration issue and he of course said - NONE! This is a fairly large dealer that sells lots of Sierras and Silverados..

I understand that it seems way bigger then it really is on a forum, but after talking to a few people who work at my local chev and gmc dealer also knowing a few people with many of the problems mentioned on this forum, I think it may be bigger issue then some may think
