2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Recommended Posts

It is interesting that some get their trucks fixed and others, like me, are told that GM has no intention of fixing the LEDs? Is this just because GM is such a large Company (right hand doesn't know what left had does) or is the dealer fixing the problem at their cost?

It seems to me from what I have read. It's dealer to dealer. These guys that are getting them fixed are going in and saying my lights worked yesterday and now they don't. Their Not going in and demanding GM fix the lights that should be there. Just like anywhere else it also seems some dealers will do anything to fix their customers trucks and some go strictly by the book. To me it seems like a no brainier if I looked at yours and the lights were off and a new one worked I'd order a new radio or face plate and be done with it. This may work till GM catches on to what's happening. Maybe you need to go to another dealer and play dumb?

I was driving home today and saw a drop of water hit my steering wheel... When I got home, I looked at my headliner near the driver's sunvisor and it was wet around the visor's bracket. I removed it, and there is in fact, water coming from the roof. Probably from the OnStar antenna, its almost right above. The truck now has 17000kms and has been trouble free. Ill make a trip to the dealer this week...

If you think about it, 370000 vehicles is a hell of a lot to produce for a launch... kind of mind blowing/Impressive to me. I remember back in 99 when the 800s came out, dealers couldnt keep the trucks on their lots... GM is improving everything they're doing and taking care of customers for the most part IMO.

This has been happening to me as well. Thought it was because the dealer had replaced the sunroof seal during some dent repair work. I bet your right, the HD antenna may be the culprit. Does yours have a gap in the seal at the back of the antenna?
