2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Recommended Posts

As of today I have now experienced the "shake-n-wobble" effect while driving 45 mph on paved highway in 4X4 mode. This is the first time I've driven in 4X4 mode for several miles at that speed, but I was surprised to have it feel that way. I will rarely use the truck in 4X4 mode but it's no different than anything else on this list; if it doesn't work properly it should be addressed and fixed by GM.

I will likely wait to see if there's a more widespread solution found and reported on this forum before I take it in. The truck otherwise seems fine in 2 wheel drive mode and is very pleasant to drive on the highway. I have 3,400 miles on it, most of which have been road trips. I just wanted to try the 4X4 mode today on wet streets and see how it faired.

I don't think you're supposed to use the 4x4 on pavement - not good for the center diff. 4x4 is for off-road only. I think Auto mode is ok for pavement though.

4wd is fine on pavement but you can't really turn, like someone else said it will bind up auto mode just engages the t case so it can instantly put it In 4wd if When the rear tires spin.

The vibration in 4wd is not normal at any speed at all whether it's 10 or 85 it's not normal

When I refer to spoiled children. I'm referring to the ones that make fun of people who have a complaint about their truck, regardless if its about knobs without lit up rings to loose seat cushions. It doesn't matter, its their complaint. I'm tired of reading snarky and belittling remarks. If we have nothing positive or constructive to offer, don't type. Were all came to this forum for answers, help, and share experiences on a common interest. A truck! Tapatalk via Moto X

Amen to that!

Dealer fixed mine with no questions asked. Took it in yesterday, they ordered the parts, parts came in this morning, I went to the dealer around 1 and out by 130. Abra cadabra! Lights now work as they should on the radio. Just play stupid and say you noticed that the lights are out.

My dealer just told me they can't fix the illuminated rings because GM hasn't released a fix yet... Waist of a day reading all these posts how the dealer fixed the issue by Ordering parts.. Is what it is I guess..

Did you tell them they just stopped working or did u tell them u bought the truck with out the rings working. I plan on playing dumb. Telling them they worked yesterday and today the rings went out, and I don't know why.

Regarding LEDs: Was informed by the dealer that GM will not fix them as the truck was proper when it was built (without LEDs working). GM did offer me a $500 certificate towards any Option I might want

Regarding non-working Power Steering: Working now but was informed that there is a programming error causing this and that they don't have a fix for it yet. So may happen again at any time

Regarding Starting Issues: They are not completely sure what caused the problem but that it appears to have disappeared.

Picked up my truck today. We shall see.

During this crazy cold spell up here in NH I noticed that the climate control in my AT kind of sucks. Anyone else notice cold air blowing from the defrost and floor vents when set to auto when it should be hot? If I manually set the output to dash and floor the air comes out hot, maybe a diverted malfunction...

Well, they can change Specs, but they shouldn't change delivery Specs while still advertising the LEDs in all their advertising! In any case, if this doesn't bother you that's fine. I reported the LED issue on this Forum because it does bother me. Regardless of who built the circuit boards for GM it is still their vehicle and they are responsible.

I swear some of you act like you would be happy with a truck from GM that came without an engine!

I simply said they weren't working. They're replacing the parts that are causing it not to work but first have to create a case and whatnot. Sales manager said he'll get back to me by Monday. The trucks on the lot had the illuminated rings and that's what made him look into it more. Once he tells GM the customer isn't happy that's all it takes.

I would honestly take the 500 towards add-on's and just add the needed resistors myself.
