2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

What you think is a valid complaint vs what someone else thinks is a valid complaint is personal discretion. And none of it gives anyone the right to make fun or belittle. I've come to the conclusion that this forum is half filled with spoiled children....

Whether "spoiled children" or not... Bad publicity= lower consumer confidence= drop in stock prices. Social media and technology have made information available to anyone at the click of a button. Gm knows that...as evidenced by the fact that GM actually hires people to read these posts. GM should (and in my opinion does) care about what consumers think of it's products.... Moreover, I don't think that discretionary would be the appropriate word to describe the validity of a complaint; a small complaint can be valid.... it may just not be reasonable or justifiable in light of the totality of the circumstances... but that's not to say it is "invalid"... it may just be less... severe... But I do agree... to each his own....

Just my 2 cents...

The rings and led's are there I guess the dealer didn't add resistors to some trucks. There's a few threads talking about doing this and I plan to add them this weekend. Sounds like it takes about a hour.

Wow really we are gonna compare how French Fries are arranged or it doesn't look the same in the picture. This is not the case how about your order shows up and there is no French Fries in the bag. You go back and say, hey where's my French fries and they say ah too bad we don't include them with this deal or you must of ate them or wait a minute we run out and have changed the combo meal today and guess what it's not included on this combo anymore. Good Grief really, if you don't get what we're saying you probably never will. If people don't speak up then nothing gets done or corrected. It's like saying it okay for some people to get fries in their order because they came in the later part of the day but because some customers came in too early no fries for you..................

Companies could get away with this type of crap a decade ago but with the internet and social media around it would be prudent in providing excellent service and quality.

When I refer to spoiled children. I'm referring to the ones that make fun of people who have a complaint about their truck, regardless if its about knobs without lit up rings to loose seat cushions. It doesn't matter, its their complaint. I'm tired of reading snarky and belittling remarks. If we have nothing positive or constructive to offer, don't type. Were all came to this forum for answers, help, and share experiences on a common interest. A truck!

I noticed all the trucks I looked at originally at my dealer didn't have the backlighting around the knobs so I decided wait a couple months to take it in. I took my truck in and the service advisor walked right to a truck that just came in and saw that they were supposed to be lit. He ordered a new control board and it was in the next day and they fixed it no questions asked. I really don't think that owners should be adding resistors.... He then told me than there was a manufacturing shortage on the boards with resistors so they put the ones without them in the trucks to keep them moving off the line..

Dealer fixed mine with no questions asked. Took it in yesterday, they ordered the parts, parts came in this morning, I went to the dealer around 1 and out by 130. Abra cadabra! Lights now work as they should on the radio. Just play stupid and say you noticed that the lights are out.

I originally went in for the dash lights but also told them that the driver side bumper right in front of the tire wasn't aligned. The back edge was angled down and the body gap was about 3/8 to 1/2 bigger right at the end of the bumper cap. This caused my fog lights to be way un even because they they clip in I think and there are no adjustment screws. I then walked over while I was waiting to look at the other trucks and from what I looked at I found 3 others where the bumper appeared to be sagging on the driver side. They loosened the bumper and aligned all even and fog lights are even now too. Only the crew cabs were like this with the bumper

Funny...I recommended this a few weeks back; hence why I feel more people bitch about their trucks because of buyers remorse not because their lights don't work.

Has anyone found the cause of the vibration yet? I dont have the problem but just wondering. Has anyone tried switching out the front drive shaft cause i think it turns all the time weather in 2wd also

As of today I have now experienced the "shake-n-wobble" effect while driving 45 mph on paved highway in 4X4 mode. This is the first time I've driven in 4X4 mode for several miles at that speed, but I was surprised to have it feel that way. I will rarely use the truck in 4X4 mode but it's no different than anything else on this list; if it doesn't work properly it should be addressed and fixed by GM.

I will likely wait to see if there's a more widespread solution found and reported on this forum before I take it in. The truck otherwise seems fine in 2 wheel drive mode and is very pleasant to drive on the highway. I have 3,400 miles on it, most of which have been road trips. I just wanted to try the 4X4 mode today on wet streets and see how it faired.
