2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Recommended Posts

I got a fix

.cost about 2 bucks and an hour of your time if your good with a Soldering iron

I'll be honest with you, if you can get them to fix the LEDs then go for it!! The LEDs are in fact there as you may have seen in my pics. Their missing a resistor ! I just got a call from the third dealership that I sent the truck to and they won't fix it.

In the Advertising and brochures, the LEDs on the Silverados are Blue and lit up. Three Silverados (2014) that I have checked so far, the blue LEDs behind three knobs do not lite up. I checked one GMC and it's knobs did light up RED.

With all the problems with the Engine, Transmission, Starting, and all the electronics, would you trust this truck to drive into the deep woods in the Winter? I don't. At least not yet. Lets face it, don't drive anywhere unless you have good cell service or can walk out.

I am good with a soldering iron. The problem is that it would probably invalidate the warranty. I realize that this sounds ridiculous since the LEDs are supposed to work!

It won't affect your warranty, I was told today by my dealership.

The most annoying part of the truck for me is to pump gas!! This is the first time I see a plastic holding (or not) the gas tank filling tube. Every time I pump gas the nuzzle handle jumps as if it finished pumping, and I know it's not. I think it's because of the plastic tube mount, the nuzzle is not solid in place and it triggers the nuzzle to stop pumping.

Anyone experiencing this??

Hello i just bought a 2014 Silverado two weeks ago. I just stated to having issues with the four-wheel drive. Every time its in auto or 4wd it makes a off and on buzzing/humming noise when u give it gas or let off it has nothing to do with it engaging or disengaging and only does it when its in auto or 4wd. the sound is almost like its electrical interference coming from the top of the dash on the drivers side it kinda sounds like the noise a computer hard drive makes. I took it to the dealership and had three different people look at it they could not hear anything so i let it go. The next day i gave my friend a ride in it not saying anything about the issues he hears it right away so i go back to the dealership and told them this so they let me test drive another truck and its making the same noise. So i am wondering if anyone else has had this issues i have owned many chevy trucks and know the normal noise they make in 4wd but have never heard this before when you are driving 30-50 miles a day its kinda is annoying and they have no solution for it

I put mine in auto makes same noise for one sec.. Than stops something in your transfer case isn't making a full connection

1st week I bought my ltz white diamond I stopped to put gas. The pump was a little at a slope and when I put the truck on park I turned it off took the key out and stepped out of the truck, the truck just started rolling, I quickly jumped in the truck and steped on the breaks, I turned the tuck on, put it on the drive, then back to park and it continued to do the same thing. I finally drove it to the parking lot next door that had level floors and stoped put it on park and of course it seemed fine because it was on even floors, I drove back to the gas station parked on the same pump, this time the park engaged correctly and haven't had that issue again. I do plan on taking it back to the dealer to get checked out. I've had the truck for 3 weeks.
