2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Recommended Posts

Well I dropped the truck off this morning for the dent issue. Its being fixed by the dealership, no charge to me. Rental vehicle being supplied until fixed, possible three days. Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk

Went to the dealership today, they told me they won't fix it until GM approves the " modification" that needs to be done to fix the lights. I called GM directly and had it approved, she called my Chevy rep and had her call the dealer to approve the fix. When she did the dealer than said they won't fix it until GM puts out a bulletin to fix it. WTF!!!!

I was just told by GM if enough complaints are made to them, they will issue a recall to have them fix. Here's the number to make your complaints directly with GM. 1-313-556-5000. Make sure you have a reference number available from Chevy if you have one. If not than you have to speak to the executive dept. to make your compliant.

What reference number? From a previous complaint or something different? Want to give them a piece of my mind...

Yes, if you have a previous or current complaint through Chevy.. You give them that number and tell them you want to speak with the executive dept. after you give the number they will ask for your name and phone number and the vehicle you drive.

Kind of figured that, sucks for you. hopefully we can make some head way. A dealer is going to go hacking into something unless they reimursed for it and there is a method to do it. Which leads me to beleive GM doesnt know of a fix quite yet.

Ive read through this thread what exactly are we missing or suppose to have, trim levels, GMC/silverado? what? Ive read through this and maybe im missing something

From my understanding, all Chevy owners are missing the illuminated rings around the two radio knobs and center A.C. Control knob. I have opened the dash and saw that the LEDs are there for the knobs, there is just one key component missing to alow them to light up. My question is " why go as far as installing the lights and not light them up? "

Good question since the GMC trucks' knobs do light up (although in red)
