2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Recommended Posts

I just rechecked mine and the rings don't come on. Also, I'm not sure the rings are there on mine. Build date 5 July

Take a look at the "getting to know your 2014 Silverado". It clearly shows the rings turned on.

guess I'll have to contact the dealer next week!

Jennifer, can you please find out why these are apparently turned off?

Tks

Reading all these comments sure makes me happy I bought a 2013 a few months ago versus the 2014's that were on the lot. They were both on the lot but I got an insane deal on a 2013 LTZ 6.2L with NHT that I really couldn't pass up including 0% financing. It was a hard choice but my new truck is solid as a rock so far and my heated (and cooled) seats work perfectly during remote start ;) Maybe in a few years once bugs are fixed Ill upgrade as I like the looks of the new Chevy.

Overall I like the 2014 but seems to be thing after another. I did look for a 2013 but I did't find what I was looking for

Also take a look at Chevrolet.com at the photos of the Silverado showing the lighted rings!

I got lucky. I wanted a white 6.2L crew cab with a sunroof and the local dealer found one 200km away. So I got an LTZ with sunroof and nav for about 12k off the sticker. I couldn't pass that up.

Stefman sounds like a sweet deal.

Yes my knobs don't light up either. Could it be model specific? I have a Silverado LT with the 8" screen and climate control.

Also is it normal to have a dealer installed GM bed liner screwed into the bed?

If I recall the GM bedliner comes with a little plastic bag that contains a few self tapping screws. So yes unfortunately.

Are the lighted radio knobs really that big of an issue?? If it required them to tear into the dash to fix it, I wouldn't even bother getting mine fixed. Sometimes I really wonder about the small complaints people have...

Mike

For those who paid over $40K for a truck some of us have an expectation of quality in the fit & finish of a vehicle. When a $13K Kia can get it right why can't GM? If the radio knobs is the only issue you have with your vehicle consider yourself lucky. Many people have more problems than just the knobs. When you add this on top of current problems it becomes more apparent and indicative of the poor quality control and incompetence.

You dont think Kia's have issues? lol. Anyways I get your point though.

I dont know what knobs we are talking about my truck was built somehwere between OCT 14-24 and my light and 4x4 knob have rings, and nothing else.

I also have a 8" indent on the front driver side fender. The entire fender has been put on incorrectly. Its wedged over the the headlight and not even close to the A piller. $41K truck should not have these problems, and if they do they should fix them, especially a dent. So im dropping mine off today to see what they say.
