2014+ owners having issues with their truck?

Recommended Posts

my thinking as well. doesn't make sense to replace them now..

You guys realize the rancho shocks are the same shocks on EVERY truck w/ an "off road package"? I'd wager the bilsteins are better but why in the hell would I pay to replace them this early on when I just spent nearly $50,000 on a truck including the "all terrain/Z71" package that includes the shocks? Plus, if they DO fail you get them replaced for free under warranty.

I may very well replace them but not 1 mile before 36,000 - I'm getting my moneys worth. Same thing goes for the good year tires.

That's my thinking. Not a fan of Goodyear tires, but I'll keep them on until they wear out. Didn't have any shock issues with my 99, so I'm gonna leave those alone until they need replacing also. I don't fault people that are changing all this stuff, it's just not something I'm looking to do anytime soon. I figure the truck, level kit, Line-X and Fold-A-Cover is enough for now.

people need to also remember.. GM just didn't throw these Rancho shocks on the truck and say " good enough" Rancho likely worked closely with GM to spec a shock for THIS truck do to the amount of volume.

GM's big thing with these new 2014 is ride quality and quietness. I'm sure they tested multiple shock manufactures. And although many will disagree... I like to think if there was another shock clearly better.. they would have used it instead of these even if the costs was a few bucks more.

I have a AT... and I don't know how it could ride any better. Even with the goodyears... top notch ride.

It's funny how so many people think they are smarter than the guys that spent years designing and testing these trucks... everyday mind you.

LOL drinking the kool-aid my friend

Not smarter just tried other than oem in tires and shocks and they are way better in many ways...You happy find. Others may not be and that was my target audience..

It is funny how some people think they are smarter and think mfgs put the very best out there on the cars/trucks.

I confirmed that the heated seats are working. I level of heat, however, is very low, almost impossible to tell. I can place a small towel on the passenger side seat and then I can tell that the heat has come on. Very different than the 2010 model year and probably not worth any extra expense when considering a new vehicle.

The heated seats indicator does not come on during remote start
